My uncle Jim once told me "If you can leave your home town, your friends and your family it will open your eyes and make you a man."
I left my hometown seven years ago and my balls still haven't dropped.
They're good at developing youngsters, mind. Our kids end up at Gateshead and Blyth Spartans.
And by the sounds of it our academy has had the same reputation going back 60 years. Pretty embarrassing.
It's definitely worrying, but I don't think Hardy writing about it means he's walking tomorrow. We know Rafa is pissed, we know Ashley/Charnley probably won't change. Shit sucks, but this article doesn't change anything
French Guniea just started Malouda in a Gold Cup match. He's eligible because they're not recognized by FIFA. Not the first time something like this has happened, except this time CONCACAF decided any game he plays French Guniea will have to forfeit. Just played 90 minutes of a 0-0 draw which was actually a 3-0 Honduras win.
Not a very American idea. Owners of MLS teams bought the clubs or spent a lot of money creating them, not going to be able to convince them to lose revenue by allowing relegation.
Maybe one day, but I doubt it.
I don't get the vitriol or lack of understanding of that twitter account. They even cite the source in the tweet. I don't care when they start tweeting opinions, but it's worth the follow to see every link so I don't have to go on the Daily Mail website ever
I know we've been through this many times with ashley, but it's still baffling. What is to gain when delaying a deal that's done for a month? Or not sign off on a loan deal or a free? It's so bizarre how randomly and quickly our transfer techniques have changed over the last ten years. Why own a football club if you're just going to accept relegation because you don't want to pay 1 million more for a player?
Obvious why people wouldn't want to name people who are leaking club info. And more obvious that it's probably true, the club has clearly reverted back to penny-pinching for no reason whatsoever, and that's not going to work with Rafa.
