  1. Along with randoms picking up an Application from a their local 'Sports Direct'
  2. To be honest, I don't know why this thread isn't just locked and we forget about this cupid stunt.
  3. I am loving seeing peoples different views on this, Really seems to be quite an equal divide amongst people in general, and it shows here as well. My Personal Opinion based on the case which, lets face it, are very sketchy and a little Dubious is that I think he should be allowed to play football again. If he was a Plumber and this happened, I am pretty sure people would not give a flying F**k about whether he worked as a plumber or not again BUT if he did, This is a job where he would be going in to peoples HOMES, and lets face it, Do people check Court Records every time they call a plumber out to see if they are on the Sex offenders register? I think not. For me it would be more dangerous in that situation. After everything that has happened, Ched Evans will be a watched, and marked man and he will have to be very careful with how he carries on in his personal life as people could target him for more of the same, a la Ken Barlow, Kevin Webster...... I got thinking more about this and decided to do a quick web search and found this Wikipedia which lists footballers (and other sports stars) who have been in prison etc. Quite a few famous names on there some of which are still playing football now. There are even some players whose names are not on the list (Lee Bowyer, Jon Woodgate, Stan Collymore and Adrian Mutu ). I know Ched Evans Case is a bit different to the majority on that list, which is mainly assault and drink driving, but never the less, are they an example to kids etc and should they have remained in the spotlight? Especially as there are a couple of killers in there???
  4. What was the publication, "Rapist's Weekly"??
  5. Walkouts don't do anything. People need to stop buying tickets at all. That would definitely be the best thing to do, Not only would you get rid of him but these actions would affect the club itself.
  6. I am a Newcastle Supporting Southerner so I may be biased BUT I personally don't think that the North / South divide is as bad as it was perhaps 20 years ago. These 3 guys are utter tools and 'Old School' , I am pretty sure that Cundy and Collymore would have jumped at the chance of playing for us should they have been given the option... One General comment people seem to make when they find out who I support (apart from the "Why the hell do you support a team so far away") is that How Passionate the fans are about the club and how they wish that the fans of whatever team they support where the same (generally Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea Fans)....
  7. My Grandad was a thoroughbred Geordie and when I was a kid he ALWAYS talked about Newcastle United and had so many stories about the matches he attended and the city in general. My dad lived in Newcastle until he was about 10 then they all moved down south, I think I was basically brainwashed...... Which is a bit of a shit considering there is a good 360+ miles to travel if I want to see a home game.
  8. I'm at work with No streaming but my boss emailed me to say that Cabayes goal was a peach..... Was it better than his Everton Goal? What about Dummets goal?
  9. The only away match I have been to where I was started on
  10. We haven't had our token derisory bid refused for someone unattainable yet. They'll declare themselves done after that. I think our problem is that it's becoming increasingly apparent that, barring a couple of very rare exceptions, we only buy French players. It's so obvious now, and we're limiting ourselves so much by it. It would be fine if it was because French players were the best in the world and we were willing to pay good money for them, but its not. It's because we perceive that their clubs will accept less money for them due to their lower TV deals, and we can offer their players less gross salary as when you factor in the French tax laws, net of VAT they actually still get a payrise. We've got no intention of buying quality players for decent money. Ashley is just hunting through the bargain bin and expecting to find something rare and valuable. Sure, when you're first to root round it you have a decent chance, but you can't keep going back to that same bargain bin time and again because of two things. Firstly, the owners of the bin will up their prices for you based on your previous success. And secondly, it's now f***ing empty. You've rinsed it of anything of value. We need to pack this s*** in and widen our nets.
  11. Because a Keeper is exactly what we needed to sign in this window! Mother Fuckers!
  12. Great result, Nice to have 3 points in the bag BUT the best thing for me here is 3 consecutive Clean Sheets!
  13. Hmmm Torn on this... Really unhappy about the season we have had and the shocking football that I have seen BUT as someone said on FB, If Everton had got rid of Moyes after his Second season I doubt very much that they would be in the premiership now. I want to blame Europa for the poor season but really don't think thats enough, I think we should give Pards until January...
  14. The second lot near me were dopey as hell. They watched 8 lads get thrown out after the penalty then immediately celebrated the next goal and got removed! There were still loads of newcastle fans around just a little more discreet! We must have been sat right close because the ones nearest to us got kicked out after our 2nd.... I was right in the corner with my mrs and I know for a fact that there was 5 or 6 Newcastle fans rioght behind me..... Its flamin horrible not being able to celebrate when we score....
  15. I used to try and sign him on Football Manager 2005/6!?
  16. BTW was it anyone on here that got kicked out the Lower School end for Cheering when we scored yesterday???
  17. All of the above, The pitch invasion was funny as hell. Remember seeing some little kid walking towards Steve Harper as if he was going to knock him out, the security soon stopped that little prick! Aside from that Bosingwas contributions to our win!
  18. I was sitting in with the QPR fans directly underneath where all the Newcastle fans were and angry isn't the word, there was this [...] C*** really giving it to some of the newcastle fans telling us how he would be seeing us in the Championship next season..... this was after the match finished... Twat! Edited - We don't use those terms here, censored or not. - BlueStar
  19. I went to the match yesterday and I got to say, Colo was amazing. Probably the most solid performance from him yet, he even found time to attack as well. Will be gutted if he goes.
  20. Pardew is the most tactically inept manager I have ever known! It wouldn't surprise me if Ashley has told him to get us relegated so he can get rid of all the high wage earners again...
