Would absolutely love Glenn Hoddle here, always thought he was a good managr and isnt that 'old' really. One of the best England managers of the last 30 years, and him leaving the post wasnt due to any footballing reasons. Still speaks a good game in the media and seems up to date on stuff etc, would be a good appointment IMO

Aye, him and Shearer wont be anywhere near us under Ashley unfortunately. Shame really, i'd really like them both to have a go managing us together without Ashley involved, I really would.
-
Would he go back when we're at home again in just 3 days though?....
-
Forest looking shit again, strange team Birmingham, seem to go from getting battered to winning, 4-0 loss at home to Derby on boxing day now winning 2 nil away

Newcastle United Supporters-Toon Army is the one. I dont even know why im apart of the fucking thing. Theres some decent folk on there but the maority are like I posted above, I give up at times. Some fans genuinely are holding this club back. What worries me is they;ll bring a new generation in just like them and we'll have happy claping crowds for years to come.

It really is unbelievable. That bloody Chelsea result has really backfired as well, so many people saying he cant be shit, we beat Chelsea, no one else has done that. Literally loads of people sticking to that. Doesnt matter about the rest of the year obv, we beat Chelsea so all is good. Such small time bollocks.

Just made the mistake of commenting on a facebook post on a Newcastle group slamming Pardew, got me really wound up now. Had such comments returned to me in defense of the man - ''Ashly ain't gonna sack so it's pointless debate, n despite this record we've been top half of the league for the majority of the last 12 months'' ''I'm not saying Pardew isn't responsible partly at least. He may be mostly, not at all, just slightly, that's up to personal interpretation. But he is in no way solely responsible. Players, coaches, directors, Mike Ashley, fans, the list goes on. You may have forgotten we went on a great run including beating Chelsea (no one else has done that) only a few weeks ago. What's probably the main reasons we've lost the last few? Simple, injuries and the fact that we've played teams that are better than us'' ''Don't know how many times this needs to b said but why do ppl really think we are? We are a midtable club 6th to 10th, no more than that, if there was no ambition we would sign a lot worse calibre of player than we do already, when u start supporting a club it's for life n it's through what ever situation the club is in that means if your winning the league u support it if your fighting relegation in the conference you support it'' ''To say Pardew has taken us nowhere is unfair. We're now a solid top half team. Before we got relegated we were finishing 15th, 16th'' ''We are top half of one the most competitive leagues in the world, with the vast majority of all clubs in the country below us. Most other clubs in every league below us would kill to be in our position......an established premier league side. Those who can't see this as a huge privilege, and bitch and whine constantly, sadden me'' Awful awful stuff and I genuinely think the majority feel as above inside SJP. The last comment is a personal highlight, a huge privilege to be 10th and going nowhere? Fucking hell.

This will be one of them flukey wins Pardew gets when it appears the tide might be turning again, we'll beat Burnley as well and that'll keep him popular for the rest of the season despite only winning 1 or 2 more after these two.
-
There's an image floating round on facebook somewhere with all the times, Majority all open at 10, a few open at 9 but may just be food only. Nine and the ones near the stadium are 10 I believe.

ManUtd, Tottenham and West Ham to all win today, currently being offered at 5-1 with Sky Bet. Man Utd at Villa, Tottenham home to Burnley and West Ham home to Leicester, deffo worth a punt
-
As bad as Sunderland are, they were a in a lot worse state when we played them last season, so I dont think them being shit will have an effect on the result. We'll lose im sure of it, could possibly see us sneaking a draw but I dont see any scenario where we win unfortunately.

Seemed to just get louder and louder after each goal, the atmosphere at 4 nil was definately the best i've been in. Unreal really, brings it home so much about how we as fans deserve so much more from this football club, the support is always there and it's such a shame theres a generation nearly now that have never seen us win anything and potentially there'll be another one
-
Even if it was a foul it wasnt a clear goal scoring opportunity as the keeper was getting there anyway
-
What the fuck is 'Operation Goodison exercise'?!
-
Man Utd still attacking...imagine if we go even 1 nil up next week....wont go past the halfway line
-
Fucking hell, if we think we;ve been lucky to win games over the last couple of months then Man Utd have been unbelievably lucky. De Gea has saved them so many times, and shit finishing by Sterling today and Southampton last week, theyre really not that good and its crazy to think theyre only going to be 8 points off the top later this afternoon. What a shit league
-
Danny Murphy "Arsenal nearly scored within 30 seconds" cut to the scene with welbeck in the box going nowhere surrounded by Collicini and dummet, fucking hell man if that's nearly a goal everything is!
-
Alnwick is having a shocker like, good job that Welbeck goal didnt stand, piss poor attempt at saving it
-
Boro flying in the chamoionship, on a good run, and yet theres still so many empty seats. Paints a really depressing picture. Always makes me wonder with clubs like that, I mean in the Premier League they were sold out every week (well aside from the seasona and season before they went down), where do all the fans dissapear too? I just cant fathom it, like Blakcburn, Bolton, Wolves etc etc.
-
Newcastle, Sunderland, Blyth, Gateshead and Middlesbrough all in the 3rd round, good stuff. Sunderland/Gateshead and Blyth/Newcastle would be cracking like
-
What a shit game and shit football yet again being served up by us, I know it used to be the old cliche with us, but I genuinely would rather see us lose 4-3 than draw 0-0 playing like this. Even if we win 1 nil now it's just horrible watching it and it hardly brings any enjoyment playing the way we do.
-
Whats the deal with Blyth, predominently a Newcastle supporting area or Sunderland? Shearer seemed to be quite popular?
-
This has got one them late Mackem 1-0 winners written all over it

No beer in the away end after kick off
