Can we still sign him?
-
So not even Castle Leazes for you?
-
Aye..one of the stands at the new stadium is going to be called the Gallowgate Stand too. Save money from getting new, inflated priced signs later.
-
I said it in another thread. We all love Amanda and what she and her husband did to save our club. But, if she wanted us to stay at SJP by extending what we could (not saying this is true btw), while PIF wanted a new stadium, at another site for example, with potentially more benefits, then she was holding us back from moving forward. I want us to stay at SJP. It's sacred. 130 years of playing on the same piece of land of grass. But I also want the club to move forward as a club. I want the club to taste success, to compete and be a giant in the game again. I would choose us to extend into Leazes Park but that has it's own obstacles just like extending the East Stand. So, if Castle Leazes is a goer, then we have to move forward.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

4 hours man between your post and him getting a new job. Could you please say something about us and a new stadium? or perhaps us winning a trophy? -
Not one single soul on God's green earth could have seen that coming. Jamal Lewis at Sao Paulo. Good luck to the lad. Hope he stays healthy and safe.

I think Gary Neville said it pre-match yesterday that these rules are limitting us from being competitive and he said it has to go and let us be competitive. Of course we have no idea what will happen, but I'd like to see PIF be given the chance, without too many restrictions, to grow the club. if they fail to do it then, we should question their ambitions, but not now I think.

Absolute class that. Fuck you! Hahaha

The best thing I like about him is how direct he is..either he is going to have pop at goal or he is going to move forward with the ball. He isn't going to dilly dally with the ball or going to take it sideways.

That's the problem isn't it? As much as I love Amanda and Mehrdad for what they have done for us, we were probably not being run correctly in a business sense. Sure enough, we felt that togetherness, that love, that close-knit feeling with them and the players and the community etc. But one of the reasons for that wonderful feeling was because of the hideous, horrible, traumatic 13 years we had with the previous regime. 13 horrid years. and we accepted whatever good was coming away with the new owners and what they were doing with the club. Wonderful times was back again. But now, after the honeymoon is over and Amanda and Mehrdad gone, we have to take the next step and as much as we may hate it, the club needs to be run as a business. Times are changing, football has changed, and its now our turn to change. I'm sure the ladies team, the community stuff, the dinners, will still be there and be done by the club but perhaps not the way we are used to or how we would like it. Any decisions on the stadium, the training ground and etc will be something that some of us may not like but will be necessary for the club to move forward. Everyone wants the club to succeed, it's just the way how we get there might not be a comfortable ride for some of us. I'm not in the slightest worried now as I was when the cunt Ashley was running the club ,despite the 'divide' you may feel between the board and the players. The club is moving forward, we'll need to adapt to this too.

@Froggy Honestly, did you expect anything out of the game today? I atleast exprcted you guys not to lie down as you have previously. Maybe you didn't so fair play but Liverpool also took their foot of the gas the last 30 mins.
-
As much as I love Bruno being a passionate captain, today was a day we needed some calm, experienced heads when we had our backs against the wall and trying to ride the pressure. I understand Tino should be ahead of him and Tino did very well today, but Trippier's leadership would have calmed our nerves. Really hope no Turkish or whatever other club try sign him. We still need him at times like today.
-
Hoping that will be the case and we can talk about it or else I'll go nuts over the 2 weeks with all the international football that I don't give a damn about.
-
God. That Southampton player the other week already gave me Shelvey reminders. Please don't do it Anthony lad.
-
Think he's going to get some drinks down at Stacks anytime soon?
-
Hmmm..makes me think Staveley and Mehrdad leaving so suddenly must have at least some relation to the mess that we're in. Fact is, we did spend a lot of money in the past and it was necessary at the time, but reality caught up with us. We have seen many big clubs spend their time.in the lower leagues previously because of the way they went about their business irresponsibly. Hopefully, we have averted that fate from befalling us, no matter how frustrating and dissapointing the window has been.

Saints fans excited for his return. Let's see whether he can pull it off again in the PL as he did for them in the Championship.
-
The board can't even agree to signbnew players and offload deadwood, never mind building a new stadium. Let's see in January where we are in the table and which will be more important at that point, sign players or new stadium plans.
-
Even the advertising board down there is telling the club to 'Shop Now'. They didn't listen though did they.....
-
5. Could and should have been better and get some players in. Grateful we still have Bruno, Isak, Gordan, Big Joe, Trippier, Wilson at the club.
-
The fence won't survive kick off on Sunday, let alone at the final whistle.
-
Seeing what is (or not) happening to us right now, which scenario would you have preferred when the final whistle blew at the end of last season? Scenario A: Bruno, Isak and Gordon staying at the club but no marquee signing at all by the club? Scenario B: Bruno or Isak or Gordan or all three of them sold and we signed a number of players but perhaps not the same as those sold?
-
Since it's this late on the window already, I really want him to stay. Atleast until January.
