Has been my favourite player since he came here. Was worried he was going to be pushed out with Ben Arfa coming in last season but after HBA got injured, he kept his place and deserves it for his commitment to the team. Happy he signed that extension.

I have never thought him as good in quality as some of those who have pull on the black and white shirt of NUFC but I think many miss the point that there have been worse players. He was paid money that was just ridiculous and he could have left earlier but he he showed commitment and passion playing for us more than some have. Owen was dreadful and worse than Smith in terms of how much playing for Newcastle meant. Will remember him fondly for what he and the other senior players did after the Leyton Orient disaster. Met him at the club shop once and he is a decent fella. I won't be one who gives him stick anytime he comes back to SJP.

Yeah..was a bit hopeful of QPR getiting the job done against Spurs and a bit more confident now..was happy to see QPR getting the win tonight to boost their confidence..not sure though about them getting the win at the Bridge though.. Spurs have the easier run in is it? Would you settle for a confirmed place in the Europa League this weekend, or would you rather suffer a heartbreaking (and maybe embarrassing) defeat in the Champions League qualifier and then drop into the Europa League? I would say I pick the former as going out in the qualifiers at the start of the season in August could have an effect on the team from the start.. Seem to remember we suffered badly once we got knocked out of the qualifiers by Partizan..and would we still have the same players for the qualifiers as we have now? we would really need to gel new players and also recover form the loss of outgoing players by the time qualifiers come around.. 5th place would be goof enough for me..
