  1. I see that our problem maybe that we exert ourselves too much too early and we run out of gas 2nd half. Probably Edide needs to manage that and get the balance right. Yes, we need to be attacking and probably try and get an early goal or two in games but any better team than Southamptoon would have punished us severely if we play the way we did in that 2nd half.
  2. Think the fact we won a semi final at home made it more emotional and enjoyable as to winning at a neutral venue like Wembley or somewhere else.
  3. Aarrghh..didn't think I'll be emotional about him leaving. But seeing him on the SJP pitch one last time, then that message he wrote, especially having Geordie-born kids, welled me up a bit. Hope he does well over there and he won't be a player booed back here for sure.
  4. Saw a tear in his eyes perhaps? Thanks Jonjo.
  5. Really need to cut out these sloppy and careless passes in and around that backline. They have pacey players who will get on these loose balls. Need a 3rd goal to calm the nerves.
  6. Oohh.. didn't know that. But it'll be a MAJOR surprise if we sign him. So not expecting that one, but would welcome any other.
  7. Please give me a reason to follow Deadline Day before our match.
  8. What's happening with hem? I know they got knocked out the cup by a lower league side the other night but it seems it's been a long and hard time for them? Edit- I meant Aberdeen.
  9. Fuck. Shat my pants seeing this thread up high on the forum. Thought something happened.

That £45m will probably be worth it down the line. Yes looks a bit high but you won't get cheap players nowadays, espexially if you're Newcastle United. I doubt Leicester would be happy with the same price for Maddisson now. More experience and better quality. He'll probably go for £50m upwards.
  11. Just asking. Are there any other clubs who release season reviews at the end of the season? We had VHS and and DVD's back in the day but just wondering whether any other club does anything similar these days that we might follow suit? This season looks like a good season to rake in sales from such releases. Could say the same for last season too.
  12. An early goal will settle any nerves and then we''ll play with even more freedom.
  13. Think either Bielsa or Dyche would have kept them up. Wanted Bruce, Big Sam or other knobheads to take them down. Oh well.
  14. Fucking bringing in his family into the story to cover up his shit. And then recommending Eddie to the new owners. Fuck off.
  15. Didn't say he was good, just said that he is more likeable and pontential and development there unlike the other two who went to clubs with money and failed.
  16. It's our style of play isn't it? We play the pressing game and players do a lot of work. The amount of games we have played, even with the cup run, seems fairly average but the intensity of the style we play may lead to this fatigue. If I remember correctly, in the early Klopp days, Liverpool players faded as the season went on such was the style they had earlier on in the season. It is quite frightening that what we have on the pitch right now is mostly our 1st choice players. It's not like we have someone out injured who is going to slot straight back into the lineup. So I guess, any players that do come in, needs to be ready to play the way we do and that's probably the hardest part, identifying the correct type of player to sign.
  17. Arsenal's adidas kits for next season has already started getting leaked. If we were to switch over, the deal probably needs to be done or announced soon for the kit production to start. End of February, no news, it'll be Castore again for next season.
  18. I actually don't want Rooney to fail under the spotlight for now. Think as a mannger, he's more likeable and perhaps more down to earth compared to the larger than life, ego-maniacs, Gerrard and Lampard. It would crush his potential and development if he took on the Everton gig right now
  19. I really think your team edges ours in terms of quality and experience. Especially in cup finals. But like you said, your schedule looks horrendous and I'd be shitting myself if I was a fan as that final week maybe glorious or disastrous. Ofcourse CL is your priority, its just that ETH has now said, he wants to end your trophy drought. That'd be a concern for player burn out if you want to keep the momentum going. Are you guys heavily relying on Rashford at the moment? If he gets crocked, does it take a sting out of the team?
