Probably my favourite displays that like. -
Would rather have taken Longstaff off than Willock or Almiron.
-
What an absolute shitter he had. Not only the chances, but overall those 2 late handballs he made and screwing up that opening that opened up for us at the end.
-
I've noticed this. He doesn't have as much pace as Wilson but he gets much closer to defenders on a lot more occasions than Wilson does when pressing. Yes probably it ends up with nothing but he really does try.

Is Mudryk to Arsenal going to happen or just rumours?
-
Was just watching Sky Sports News and they had their sidebar on Fantasy Points won. Top Keeper - Pope, Top Defender - Trippier, Top Midfielder - Miggy. We just need a Top Striker for the clean sweep. Hopefully Isak will be the one.
-
How good are the other big teams going to be though from now on is going to be interesting. Based on the post-world cup round, looks like both Man Utd and Chelsea look like they came back ok albeit against teams they were expected to beat. End of January would be a good indicator of what they will be like moving forward after a lot of games have been played. Plus, they would start European games again in February which is a massive factor in my opinion.

Liverpool home needs an Arsenal home last season atmosphere. Get the fans going. Saturday evening. If the players are readg and up for it, Klopp and his bunch won't know what'll hit them. I think this transfer window maybe more important that some might think. If we have ambitions of staying in the top half, let alone top 4-6, we need extra quality players in to help sustain our push. A striker, a creative midfielder n possibly a top quality center back can help backup the squad should we sustain injuries to our key players. Some shrewd and clever signings and top 6 would be a good shout.

Honestly,I want out best team protected for the Arsenal game. Not underestimating Leeds but think we can manage with a few changes. Targett in for Schar and ASM in for Willock. keep Wood in from the start and Wilson last 20 minutes or so.
-
What's out team going to be like? We have Arsenal away barely 3 days later. Hoping for some early quickfire goals so we can take off our main players like big Joe, Trippier, Botman and Bruno.
-
James Maddisson doing us a favour.

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

Already deserves a statue to be honest. To take us from where we were, and to be in the top 2 in a year is incredible and he has hardly really said we are going for it. Imagine if he does and how the mentality of the players would be. Simply an incredible human being. -
Looking forward to this now. Obviously they will probably play Maddisson in tbis one, but Eddie will know how to handle him and this match.
-
Any chance Maddisson plays for us in the Quarter-final?

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)
nufcjb replied to David Edgar's topic in Football
Luckily though, he didn't manage to flog him. -
I've just looked at the fixtures. Arsenal got to go to Brighton this Saturday evening and get something coz I tell you what, if they don't, that game at the Emirates against us is going to be even more crackers.
-
Momentum is still with us. Get Isak and Wilson back, probably add 2 or 3 more signings and we could be solid for the rest of the season
-
Good chance of a win and Eddie and his coaching team can gauge this Leicester side even more ahead of that Quarter final with them. Hope the players are up for it and ready to go again. Howay the Lads!

Jonjo from the halfway line
-
A Kieran Trippier over the wall special. But I'd settle for a goal from Chris Wood falling over on the ball to be honest.
-
Yes and especially if we are playing Saturday evening, then Wednesday should be thr day we play this. But I read on .com that another strike may have had a hand in the date for this game before it was announced.
-
Aye, I don't look towards Wood as a negative. He did his job in a team struggling to stay up last season and when we were on that run, he delivered. But right now, expectations maybe a bit higher and with that, the qualityand responsibility required will also be much more greater. Not saying Wood can't be relied on but we brought in Isak, regarded as a best of the three strikers so if we have and if we don't have him and Wilson, we should try get someone in to play with or to replace Wood at times. Sure Wood stiil do the job if required of course but we cannot sign another striker similar to him.
-
I hope we play him soon and in January. God forbid, if he gets injured again, hopefully we can get another dimilar quaity striker in, no matter the price, before the transfer window closes. We have to atleast have someone that we are ready to pounce for and not a Chris Wood level that we'll sign in desperation.
-
He making an appearance on BTE soon?
-
Thank God after being absolutely shattered today, we have Eddie and the lads in less than 48 hours. And thank God its Eddie and not the bacon stupid cabbagehead monster instead in charge of us. I'd have happily quit and not watch another game of football till the next world cup comes around if he was in charge.
