  1. Just our luck when we're in top form in goodness how many years, Arsenal are also in theirs too. Fuck it, let's go lads!
  2. I say let him on from the bench against Wednesday and start against Leicester but knowing Eddie and the coaching staff, they'll be extra cautious so it'll be from the bench with Wood and Wilson starting in each of those games.
  3. I'd be happy just to qualify for Europe and perhaps win the Carabao Cup to be honest. Fully deserved for this lot of lads.
  4. Busy scoring goals for Reading again. He was pissed bored when he was under cabbagehead and then at Reading too, thus came in and out of the forum back then.
  5. If our defenders can stay fit and in form, then it's the attackers and strikers that need to do their jobs too. I'm hoping Miggy doesn't drop off massively and Wilson can stay fit as much as possible. But it's the like of Wood, ASM and possibly Isak later that needs to chip in as often as possible with goals. That's the part that needs to be emphasised on for the second part of the season.
  6. I'm going to have very low expectations. Of course I hope we can pull off something. Ahead of the Leeds game, I was confident. It's just the tired legs and the frustrations that the lads had towards the end of that game which is dragging my confidence down a bit.
  7. Why does it look like Chelsea are being very stupid or foolish? Seriously, there is nothing coherent about what they are trying to do. I don't care if they want fo sign all the best players in the world but ffs, they're like trying to form a new galatico squad without having an actual aim or objective in the first place.

    St James' Park

Stick the stadium on top of Leazes Terrace.
  9. This Chelsea transfer model is a bit crazy mind. I don't really know but surely this is not Graham Potter saying "i want this player, I want that player". It's more like he is given all these players and has to get a winning team out of them. In the past, Mourinho was wanting all the players and Abrahmovic agreed didn't he? I was telling my brother the other day that I'm glad we seem to have sound and forward thinking owners transfer wise with a manager who also is not one known for crazy spending. Imagine either one of them splashed the cash on an ageing and greedy Ronaldo just because we could afford to. Would have been disastourous for us long term.
  10. Ok. I don't have any grudges with him and seeing we're going to have cup games and going to need a backup keeper that is reliable, then Dubs can be that. As much as I wanted Karius to be here and probably prove that he is better than before, there was a risk with him. I'd prefer Karius over Darlow though but Dubs over both of them should we need cover for Pope. Play Dubs for the FA Cup match and Pope for the Quarter final a few days later? Though if Pope plays both, that'd be fine by me too.

Where is Stewart supposedly off to?
  12. Sack Conte fast while Stevie Bruce is srill available Levy!
  13. If the owners and manager were to reasses our policy for this transfer window, they should probably consider that we're almost half way through the season and we are 3rd. Had we been midtable, perhaps we wouldn't need to be too active in the window. The fact we are 3rd, European football is a real possibility next season, and with all the exposure and commercial aspects that comes with it, we probably can add a few more quality signings to keep the momentum going and try cement a place in the top 7 atleast and have a good crack at the 2 cups. Sure, the summer was when we probably wanted to spend more but we can come to it later and offload a few more to balance our potential spending this month.
  14. It was a Sunday league miss. Almiron doing the hardwork and this guy just comes and boots it straight over.
  15. More chance Eddie Murphy will play for us than that.

    Kieran Trippier

I was hoping he would have quickly realised that the Leeds keeper was one who liked to come out and catch the crosses but so often, Tripps' balls were sent too near to the keeper or were hanging balls. Would have been better if some of our set play were played short in some instances as the long ball deliveries weren't working. Hope he'll have a banger against Arsenal. Free kick goal again would be nice.
  18. Hopefully we have players lined up ready to sign like Trippier last January. Ready to sign early on so we don't waste time. I really want us to sign another striker. We don't know in what form Isak will be and how long ut takes him to get back to his best. Likewise, Wilson is a ticking timebomb in regards to his next injury and I think we just can't rely on Wood as we have previously. January is going to be a huge month for us both on and off the pitch. A lot of league games plus 2 cup matches including a quarter final. Fingers crossed, we'll end January still in good and happy mood.
  19. Thankfully, the transfer window is open soon and Eddie will learn today that if he is going to cautious with some of our best players because of injuries like Wilson and ASM like today, we better have capable and similar quality players like them actually in the team to replace them. On the basis of what happened today, Wood and Longstaff would not be in the team had he started Wilson and ASM and it may have cost us. The signs are there. If we want to sustain a decent push towards the end of the season, another quality striker and creative midfielder would be good. I don't want him to bring on Murphy no more.
  20. Maybe just around the corner? Maybe Tuesday? Just when they and many others don't expect it to be, it'll happen?

    Joelinton

Think he was probably my man of the match for us. Was a beast when Leeds had 2 to 3 palyers gang up on him and kept us going throughout. Hope he'll have plenty in the tank for Tuesday.
  22. I'm not annoyed at Leeds at all for their tactics of time wasting and all throughout the match. We are masters at that and we by all means should know what to do and not to do when the opposition does it to us. Hope we learn our lesson today. One question though, when Wilson stands in front of the opposition keeper who has the ball in his hands, does it actually make the keeper hold onto the ball longer or release it earlier?
