Rumours in EFL circles that he could be off to Stockport on loan for the rest of the season. (Though given the two weeks training we have now, I imagine they'll take the opportunity to look at him).

I was always relatively confident that Dubs would be fine once the rust had worn off, I remember similar happening after each of his injuries, it just wasn't as noticeable as even a half cooked Dubs is miles better the Darlow and Woodman

@RUHRLYASLEEVESUP so far all you've done is go "We're average and all you people are wrong", what are the exact reasons you think that, and why is that different to the last 2 years?
-
Yeah, we're in a bad patch of form? So? Happens? We as a club are still massively heading in the right direction, so I just can't get angry because just because we're 10th.

See personally I'm coming away from today's game more positive then before, a last minute defeat is never nice, but I saw signs today along with the derby win last week that we where returning back to our old selves, our intensity and zip was back for long periods, if we had personnel to call on, we get a result today imo.

Man, some people really need to learn how to take a defeat
-
Basically this. Aye. Two week break
-
Honestly, if we could have refreshed our front three, and a couple of the players in midfield around the 60 to 70 mark, I think we would have atleast got a point from that. We where breaking so well until that point, and then they casually bring on players like KDB with fresh legs, while ours just continually drop off, was inevitable.
-
Did you notice last week that gap wasn't there, when we had our beast of a CM available, or earlier on in the season when we had our industrious young academy player there, or when we had our suspended Italian in that same spot? Naaaah didn't think so.
-
Man thats so frustrating, undone by three absolute world class goals. Thought we played alright for the most part, even if more defensive then i'd like, but actually thought we countered really well throughout the game. Thank fuck we have a two week break now.

Got an assist today

Just seen the Sevilla result from yesterday, and they have a genuine chance of going down, their next 6 games are horrible too.

Miggys not worth £10m though.

Chelsea Vs Aston Villa not being on TV at all is wild.

Can I just say, it's still really noval to me that our Chairman comes out and talks openly and honestly like that. Still feels weird.

I do love how invested we are a fanbase like. One article, from a notoriously shit sauce, which has also been knocked back by others, have made people start worrying needlessly, its impressive loyalty tbh

Am I right in thinking Liverpool winning the League Cup would be the best outcome for us as the European spot would then be added to the league?
-
Spurs are the only club who have done anything so far arnt they, other then maybe Diaz to Sheff United. Seems the market is just slow at the moment, I mean even Chelsea havent signed a player yet

I appreciate that you spent time to write and articulate that post, but quite frankly I don't really agree, and I don't really want to get into a debate, as it's clear we both look at it in completely different ways. As personally, I just don't see a single thing wrong with it, and think its fine to have a newer fan on an advisory panel of nine. Clearly we have different views, and thats cool, you're more then entitled to yours as I am mine, and neither of us as right or wrong, but I just don't fancy getting into a debate about something I don't really feel that strongly about.

See I think the reaction is crackers, and don't see the issue with it at all, she's an International fan who has recently starting supporting the club, who could advise on what drew her to support the club, as well as the various mechanisms that did so. If we want to grow our fanbase, then that could be something really useful and helpful, besides, why does someone's length of support matter? Its such an arbitrary thing. So long as they're a good fit for the role, who cares? So long as they're a devoted fan, who has the clubs best interests at heart, and the time and commitment to do the role then it shouldn't really matter? Ultimately this is a positive thing the club are doing, and people are getting outraged at one minor little thing, as apposed to seeing this as a step in the right position.
-
I do love knee jerk reactions like "Continue to shoot themselves in the foot off the pitch" like they've made mistake after mistake (Which they haven't) and like they've been Ashley MK2. This advisory board is lightyears beyond anything we've had in the past, who cares if our international representative is someone thats only supported the club for a few years? It doesn't make them any less qualified then anyone else, and so long as this lady represents the club well what does it matter? It just feels like faux outrage for the sake of it.

I could see Ritchie's contract getting renewed as a player/ Coach role, as that's what it feel like he's been leaning towards for a few seasons now, given how much of an influence he apparently is in setting standards in the squad etc. If it's just as a player, none of Manquillo, Ritchie, Dummett or Hendrick should have their contracts renewed. I'd keep Krafth as a third choice RB personally, he's covered well in recent weeks.

Joe White Carlisle-born midfielder White grabbed the all-important winner for Crewe Alexandra in their League Two game at Mansfield Town on Saturday. It was a smart strike from White, whose low drive after a sublime piece of skill found the bottom left-hand corner with just two minutes on the clock, maintaining Crewe's promotion push and notching his third goal of the season in the process. Ryan Fraser Fraser was in superb form for Southampton on FA Cup third round weekend, netting twice and providing an assist in the Saints' 4-0 thrashing of Walsall. The Scotland winger's neat sixth-minute finish got the home side going at St Mary's before his cutback found Sekou Mara after the break, with the Frenchman thumping home Southampton's second. And Fraser's low, arrowed finish with just over 20 minutes left put the result beyond doubt, with Che Adams adding a fourth to seal an emphatic win for Russell Martin's men. Max Thompson Teenage goalkeeper Thompson kept his fifth clean sheet of the season so far as Northampton Town beat Cheltenham Town 1-0 on Saturday, with Kieron Bowie's penalty enough to separate the sides at Sixfields. Matty Bondswell Left back Bondswell made a 65th-minute substitute appearance for Newport County as they were held to a 1-1 FA Cup draw by National League outfit Eastleigh. Harrison Ashby Ashby missed out on Swansea City's 2-0 FA Cup win over Morecambe under new boss Luke Williams as he works towards a return from injury. Jamal Lewis Northern Ireland international Lewis wasn't involved in Watford's dramatic late 2-1 win over Chesterfield in the FA Cup, which was sealed by Tom Dele-Bashiru's stoppage time clincher. Jeff Hendrick Hendrick missed Sheffield Wednesday's resounding 4-0 FA Cup triumph over Cardiff City through injury. Cameron Ferguson The young striker got an eight-minute run-out at the end of Forfar Athletic's 2-1 reverse at fellow Scottish League Two side Stenhousemuir on Saturday.
