Fair play to De Zerbi, not often you get a manager coming out and saying the deserved to lose.

Honestly, that may be his most impressive win under us, especially given the stakes, and the pressure of the situation. We played a team who love it when teams press them, and who on paper would be our Achilles heel, but he used their strength as their weakness, and pressed in a way periodically in very specific scenarios, otherwise we stood off and didn't allow them any space to play forward passes, and eventually they'd force it and we'd transition quickly. Seriously impressive.

That was actually a really odd half of football, it was like 90% of it was played in a kind of holding pattern, with them playing the ball around, and the other 10% being us pressing them and they then being unable to handle it. They've actually been really poor in possession, which is surprising given and I was really worried our press would play into their hands, allowing them to find the space in midfield, but it just hasn't happened.
