That was the most bog standard/ generic Newcastle at Anfield performance there ever was, it was like both sets of players knew what the end result was, and just went through the motions to make it happen. Everything felt flat and personally I have zero emotion towards that at all, not anger, disappointment or annoyance, nothing, we played a better team and lost, and didn't disgrace ourselves. I won't lose any sleep over it. I don't even think it was that bad a performance, and that we where particularly terrible, we were competitive, and we had the odd half chance, it was just meh. Hall did well I thought.

I'd bring Osula on for the chaos factor tbh.

It's been a very odd game, everything has felt subdued, I don't know if it's the weather or my own apathy towards this particular fixture, but for a game under the lights at Anfield, it's felt like everyone, from players to fans, are just going through the motions. We've not actually been that bad, we've played it around nicely at times and got into some dangerous areas, just lacking any cutting edge, and we've defended well enough, limited them to chances from range, even if it does feel like they're in second, and could score if they really wanted too.

Went C, mainly as it's hard to judge him ATM due to the long lay off, and at the very least he's never going to be worse that a C. If he gets a consistent run however I'm confident he'll easily be a B and possibly an A before long.

Personally I'd much prefer Leeds up over Sheffield United and Burnley, the later two stunk the league out last year, and will do the same next. Leeds atleast have something about them as a club.

I went for a C, overall his time here has been a success, and prior to his injuries he was a really good keeper and shot stopper, and he's stepped up this season and been better than Pope quite comfortably this season imo, but he has dropped off a fair amount since them injuries, and you have the whole Man United thing.

It has to take a touch beforehand, earlier on in the year Tom Tonks "Scored" from a throw-in in the FA Cup for Tamworth, but only because the keeper flapped at the ball, and it hit him on the way in, if he'd just left it, it would have been a goal kick. I think it went down as an own goal as well.
