Thats a great move for him, and it'll suit his game down to a tee given how defensive Burnley are under Parker. He's been a great servant overall, he was excellent when he first came in under Benitez, and was a massive breath of fresh air given we'd been dealing with Darlow and Elliot in what felt like forever, his two long term injuries messed him up, and the drop off was noticeable afterwards. I'm glad he had that Indian Summer this past season, as I think he deserves to be remembered fondly. In terms of keepers in my lifetime, I think i'd put him 3rd: Given > Pope > Dubravka > Krul > Harper

Pope not doing himself any favors -
Its just opinions isn't it? People could see what KI is saying and just not believe it. Personally I don't, if we get a Sesko and Wissa, and Isak goes for the fee we demand (£150m) I wouldn't say thats weak or "a shocking indictment of the club" at all, in fact it'd say it's the exact opposite. We'd have stuck firm on our valuation for a player, despite all the carry on in the press, the attempted manipulation of Liverpool and Isaks agent, and then gone and sought out one of the hottest prospects in the continent, convinced him about the project and what we're building at the club, while also getting a proven Premier League player that scored nearly 20 goals last season. That shows a fair amount of strength in my opinion. It doesn't mean I'm right and I can understand why someone could see it the other way. The whole "We can't be shown to be pushed around, and it'll be the same going forward" is just conjecture and there isn't anything really to back it up.

Rangers draw against Motherwell and so are basically already behind Celtic in the title race before the later have even played a game
-
So, if this is true, I'm going to assume Isak leaves, as no way can we be allowed to have two nice things
-
Obviously, the only goal of the game is going to be an absolute freak own goal.

This is a horrible advert for the Football League, 65 minutes in and there have been a grand total of 4 shots and only 1 on target.

This Luton game is rough.

Thinking about this more, I reckon the club has actually played this whole ordeal pretty well. They've said all along that Isak has stayed at home "due to a small injury", and kept quiet about all the noise and speculation that's been in the media, meanwhile standing firm that should an offer come in he's not for sale. Now that an offer has officially been placed and then instantly and firmly rejected, we can integrate Isak back into the squad with the fullback that he wasn't with the squad due to said injury. Even if it's all platitude, as everyone knows what Isak and his agents have done, the club have from their point of view, saved face for themselves and protected the player. They've made Liverpool look like twats in the process too, which is always lovely to see.
