Wood is better then Gayle and gives us a different dimension in attack, not better then Wilson but he's out for 8 weeks and we where desperate.
Burn would walk straight into our defense, knows the league, and for £15M would be a sensible if not unspectacular signing.
Henderson I don't really know much of admittedly, however he was Man United's Number one last season until he got COVID, so must have something about him.
We've also been heavily linked with other players from outside the domestic leagues, and put in record bids for 2 CB's to say "Howe loves a British transfer" seems a bit odd. There is also no evidence that he's the one leading the charge on transfers, in fact it was reported for this Windows its being run as a group with Nickson, Rueban, Staveley and Howe, working together. Howe's transfer record got Bournemouth from bottom of League 2 to 5 years in the Premier League, there was a couple of naff buys in his last 2 seasons, but most Bournemouth fans have said he's pretty astute in the market.
I do however 100% agree with there being better value elsewhere, and going forward that is where I see us focusing our transfers, but in January, with us being in the relegation we can't afford to give players a month to bed in, we need players to hit the ground running, and know how the league operates, so buying from within is perfectly acceptable in this circumstance, and is what i'd probably look to do in a similar position.
