  1. Thats going to be a shock to the players when they head out at the BayArena For me its: Leverkusen (A) Fulham (H) Sunderland (A) Chelsea (H)
  2. Genuinely think thats the worst draw possible, I guess it could be away so maybe not, but its a boring tie that is also pretty difficult
  3. No idea what you're talking about.
  4. This Liverpool situation is hilarious like, and while I wouldn't say I saw this calamity of a season unfolding for Liverpool as it is, I did expect a bit of a drop off, mainly as last season, while they where the best side in the league, they never blew me away in any real performance, and in the league had no real pressure at any point (Infact in the two games they did have that pressure last year, they wilted, against us in the final and against PSG in the Champions League ), they where just really efficient and kept grinding out wins while other (mainly Man City) came up short, and for the most part the tactic was "Give the ball to Salah and watch the magic happen", and that may work initially, but teams are now wise to it, and it looks like they're seeing how the rest of their squad is relatively ineffective, especially at the back. This situation couldn't happen to a better football club and this Salah situation is the icing on the cake, long may it continue.

    Nick Woltemade

Finishing & dribbling, probably not, everything else, absolutely.
  6. Goals this season from present and former Newcastle finishers: Nick Woltemade = 8 Harvey Barnes = 7 Joselu = 7 Callum Wilson = 4 Chris Wood = 4 William Osula = 3 Salomon Rondon = 2 Alexander Isak = 1 I was tempted to put Andy Carroll on this list with 6, but I was pushing it with Joselu who's playing in the Qatar top flight, let alone someone playing in the English 6th tier
  7. That is such a massive result in the context of our season, to finally win away and to do it in such a comfortable manner will do wonders for the players confidence, the way we saw out the game from the moment they scored was top class and utterly professional, there was never even the hint of any sort of come back. Ramsdale's distribution is so utterly beyond Pope's its ridiculous, there was one moment he hit a line splitting pass through two midfielders, I was in dreamland. Miley was quality, as where the two full backs. Massive win and performance.
  8. This new format is gash, its wild that, really that loss meant fuck all in the grand scheme of things, and I am completely non-plussed about it.

    Eddie Howe

Mate, you need to chill before you have a heart attack. You sound like you're heart rate is at 200bpm.
  10. Tactically, I can completely get the plan, and it's kind of working, every time they've had space to run into they've looked really dangerous, especially Greenwood, so sitting back and breaking with pace makes sense, and its worked a fair few times, it just feels fraught with danger, as it requires more work which means we're likely to tire and make mistakes, like the Tonali clangor. So as a fan, its feels awful to watch.
  11. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6831570/2025/11/24/alexander-isak-liverpool-record-fee-transfer/ There are 125 million reasons why Alexander Isak is becoming a big problem for Liverpool

    Tino Livramento

Do we think that's his best game at RB for us? His best performances have so far came as LB, whereas he's kind of been a bit subdued whenever he's played RB.
  13. They absolutely did not edge it, unless you count useless possession as the metric for rating a teams performance.
  14. Absolutely massive win that. We where genuinely really good, back to our old selves, we where aggressive and tenacious, attacked with speed and purpose and we deserved that win. On the balance of play it should have ended up 6-3, but a 2-1 is just as good. Barnes and Hall had such good link up, Barnes is our best LW now, and he probably has been for this calendar year, i'll be disappointed if Gordon comes straight back in for him. The full backs made such a big difference too, I love Trippier and Burn but Hall and Tino are a level above them. I also admire the balls on Howe to essentially invite them on for the last 20, and sit in our shape, it reminded me of the 5-5-0 at Arsenal last year, and it worked, despite having 85% possession in that time, Pope was untroubled, and it worked. Fucking huge that. Its nice to get the Man City hoodoo off our backs too.
  15. Alexander Isak is the first player to lose each of his first 4 top-flight league starts for Liverpool since Percy Saul in October 1906.
