  1. Krul Simpson Colo Saylor Raylor Jonas Cabaye Tiote HBA Vuckic Cisse Realized that this was an injured/unavailable XI.
  2. All seemed to be well until that dreadful game v Swansea (i think). Was personally shocked on how people here tuned on him so quickly after impressing in the early European matches.
  3. So... Elliot Tavernier Williamson Perch Santon Anita Bigirimana Obertan Abeid Sammy Shola Decent enough line-up imo, though I'd personally shift Sammy and Gabby. True, it's not the most frightening line-up in the world, but at least it shows our commitment to a move away from 4-4-2. Abeid forward looks very tasty, like pushing Cabaye up. Looking forward to how that team plays.
  4. At the moment, I think we would be okay without a second striker. The Marv-Cisse-HBA frontline puts all three in their natural positions. No more relegating goalscorers like Ba/Cisse to the wing, and I think those three will encourage a pass and move philosophy. What we need imo is either a winger-cum-striker better than Marveaux, or a target man-goalscorer who's young and better than Shola but not necessarily Cisse. A back-up centre-forward of a different style from Cisse in other words, that would give us more tactical options and depth. At the moment, the second-string to that front three would be Fergie-Shola-Obertan, which would not really strike fear into opponents.

  6. Please just avoid the replay. Elliot Tavernier Perch Williamson Ferguson Anita Jonas Sameobi Marveaux Obertan Shameobi Campbell sub.
  7. I fear the kind of tactics, organization and team talks he would bring.
  8. I remember Simpson saying he moved to 5 last season because "something special" was to be done to our 12. One of those 12th man fan's numbers I would assume.
  9. I wouldn't mind buying another LB, putting Santon right behind Debuchy tbh. Something like this, with Debuchy much deeper. (OCD's a tough bugger like) Krul Santon Taylor Colo New LB Anita Tiote Debuchy Cabaye Ben Arfa Cisse
  10. Working wonders already then
  11. Is it just me, or did it look shopped at first glance? Anyway, welcome Mathieu.
  12. Tbf he must be a b****** to handle with all those greedy crocodiles behind him. Having him out of the way must be like removing a gun that's been pointed at Mike and Dekka's head for one and a half years.

  14. Actually, his involvement there would unravel so much. Interesting to see if he plays.

  16. I'll go for Colo. Looked set for biggest flop of the decade, but his recovery was just phenomenal. One of the best centre backs to represent Newcastle, and the only one in that list who would probably have a shout among the "best Toon XI ever" lists. Talented player, class individual, and our best foreign captain ever. I think we'll look back on this thread in the years to come and go for Bigi though. Such promise oozing from the lad, and a likable individual as well.
  17. My money's on 274. inner voice says I better not jinx this s***.

  19. ^Aye. First thing I did notice last night was how similar he was to Carrick. Spreads the play neatly to kick start attacks from the back. Not a destroyer at all, nor is he a Yaya Toure-style battering ram. He'll be a regular next year.
  20. Got their home top off this year. Too classy. The new one's not making me regret my decision so far.

    Alan Pardew

We've been laughing at Sunderland and Steve f***ing Bruce, yet we've somehow managed to create the closest replica of that hellhole. F*** this club.
