One of few strikers out there who doesn’t need a goal to get a 7+ rating. Cannot understate how much he makes us play better. If everyone around him steps up, we’re cooking.

Yeah I agree that it’s the best away team here since getting tanked by Bournemouth. Maybe that’s why I didn’t feel as much hurt from the result.

On the positives, I like this CB pairing. I like that we scored off a corner - you could tell our set piece coach looked relieved when that went in. Negatives would be how, bar Murphy, our wingers look short on confidence at the moment. That’s blunted our attack more than the striker conundrum imo.

They deserved that, just hurts getting beat off late goals again.

I think if he ended up here I would have still been thrilled. Think our system just creates so many - I’d back any decent striker to score a hatful. That being said, now that he picked them only to look lost in his first few games, there’s a bit of schadenfreude.

Two things a mate and I noticed looking back: 1) Seems like someone forgot to remove that blur layer in photoshop, and right on top of the club crest as well 2) Thought he had a red #9 tatooed in his arm for a minute

Would love to see Botman & Hall starting and possibly Thiaw off the bench for this one to rotate our back four, though it’s difficult to justify that with the clean sheet record we’ve had. Give them the same bear pit like PSG and anything’s possible.
