I've watched it all Villa have been defensively all over the place the whole game. This could genuinely be 10.
-
Been pretty baffled at the overrating of Villa on here. not sure if it's based on their performance against you last season. Sliced open with ease today, and a pile of defensive mistakes into the bargain. They're nowhere near as good as people think. Completely dominated by the top three second half of last season. They're no threat at all of breaking into the top four. Today has been men against boys.
-
It might be a silly rule but the location of and the number of defenders back is a direct factor in whether or not it's a red card. It's a yellow card. One of those ones that you're calling for a red if you're the attacker but a yellow if you're the defending side. 10 yards more infield and there's a decision to be made.
-
He has been absolutely shocking. it definitely wasn't a red on Almiron though. He was very wide, close enough to the corner and there were three defenders back. Fun game.
-
Reckon this is going to be a great match.
-
I was. I wouldn't be using a 10 minute cameo to judge him. He was £15m as well. Not sure I'd call that super cheap. Bang average player.
-
Easily mine. Absolutely nothing dislikeable about the lad.
-
I've followed Howe for years. I wanted him to take over at us for a long time. Obviously personalities can adapt, but that's the impression I always got from him at Bournemouth.
-
This is all true, but Ten Hag did nothing but defend him in the media. So this whole "Ten Hag's treatment of Maguire was garage" narrative is beyond silly. Ten Hag's management of players in the media is brilliant.
-
Saka is incredible. I'd kill to have him on the right.
-
Him being part of the squad is fine, but your captain needs to be on the pitch in my opinion. Also, I've said many times before I'm actually a big fan of Howe and have been for a long time. So obviously a lack of knowledge of my part in terms of his steel but I always seen him as one of those coaches who is mates with the players. Similar to Solskjaer, the difference being that Eddie is a tactical astute manager as well.
-
Aye. Your manager is soft. Ten Hag isn't. Lascelles being kept as captain is a complete cop out in my opinion and doesn't deserve any praise. Your captain needs to be on the pitch. Why on earth would you have somebody who is 5th choice as your captain? Ten Hag never said anything negative about him. Never said he didn't want him. Praised his character and his ability. All he did was give the captaincy to Fernandes.
-
From the inside, he's a fantastic man manager. He's a quality manager. He's pretty much got his own team now. So more pressure on him this season.

As a football fan born in the 80's, the idea of turning down Liverpool for Chelsea is mental to me. It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that for players like Caicedo at 21 years of age, Chelsea are arguably a bigger club than Liverpool.
-
Very clearly. it's funny as fuck.

One of my favourite every goals and game for that matter. The Keane and Vieira spat. Vieira scoring. 6 goals in total. Great game.

30k posts don't you know Neesy? Man Utd fan.

John O'Shea nutmegged Figo.
-
He's our third choice behind Pavard and Todibo so highly unlikely he'll go to us.
-
Aye I'd be more willing to budge on Bruno. He's worth more than Isak at this moment IMO.
-
Aye I reckon that's fair for their age and how much football they've played in England. Like I said, another good season and their value will sky rocket. Isak needs to play more this season and keep the levels as high to justify being worth more than £80m in my humble, unbiased opinion. I think suggesting he was worth £80m is generous enough. It's a monster valuation.
-
About £80m each. If they both have good seasons this year then probably £120m.
-
Honestly no idea. Always thought they negotiated well and moved very quickly with transfers but I don't know who it was they had in charge of it all.
-
To be fair to them, they're normally brilliant in the market. There's just a sense of desperation this time around given their performance last season.

The only way to look at it.
