  1. You know I really liked Amorim, but I can't buy in to the storyline that he wasn't given what he needed. We had an awful attack last season and he asked for attackers and was handed Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko. Now we need midfielders, and it's common knowledge that we're advanced with Baleba and have a keen interest in Wharton and Anderson. It just feels like Amorim was looking for a way out. Thankfully I think this squad easily transitions into a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. While I believed in what Amorim was working towards, it was going to take time and I think we'll be stable enough under an interim like Ole who'll play on the counter.
  2. A lot of us probably feel that way about our boss. They're still our boss.
  3. I know right? These guys just don't know ball.
  4. Give Ole what he wants now. 100%. And don't sign Ronaldo over Haaland this time.
  5. We know who they brief to. I'm awaiting those pieces. Whitwell is one of the good guys.
  6. I never believed this for a second. To me this was posturing. There's no room for Semenyo in our squad and come the summer we're likely going to need three new midfielders.
  7. Worth noting The Athletic (Laurie Whitwell, who's as solid as it gets for us), has reported that Amorim was at loggerheads with multiple members of staff, and even had a training ground bust-up with Lisandro Martinez a few weeks ago. It sounds messier than what we were lead to believe. All the big journalists reporting Ole would be happy to come back for 6 months as well. No brainer. Get him back and let us enjoy nailing teams on the counter again.
  8. It's going to be a combination of both. I know a lot of fans, including myself this time, looked at this run of fixtures and expected a lot more points. The West Ham, Bournemouth, Wolves and Leeds games are games we should be winning. And even so, if reports are to be believed and Amorim has felt like he wasn't being backed and thrown the head up, doesn't that make his position untenable? He's wanted a midfielder in January and we can't afford it, and he knows we've borrowed money to fund the summer window, so I don't know why he hasn't shown more patience. It's almost like he was looking for a way out this time. "My system works, but they weren't going to give me the players to implement it."
  9. It was pretty split with Ten Hag, but he still won silverware in both of his seasons. I'm not going to criticise that. The signings made under Ten Hag were players that could be used in any system, and it's the same with Amorim's signings. Cunha, Mbeumo, Sesko etc. all fit perfectly into 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 systems. I'm sure this was deliberate.
  10. McTominay actually did an interview and addressed this. It's a complete myth. For every player that has excelled when leaving the club, I could give you five that disappeared into obscurity. Hojlund would score a brace against a newly promoted side and it makes headlines, but him scoring 2 goals in the 9 games before that won't. Of course, but that's the stick people are using to beat them with at the minute.
  11. Firstly, a record worse than the Dutch fella before him? Again, Ten Hag won two trophies in two years and had a third placed finish. Dream stuff for most clubs. I would agree based on the evidence that Amorim was out of his depth. This happens to a lot of managers. Are you saying the board is a joke because the appointment didn't work out? I don't think the board is a joke at all, especially based on this decision. Amorim was given money and plenty of time and can have no complaints, especially since there was obviously a disagreement and he immediately made it public which would inevitably lead to things going sour. I'm just making the point that opposition fans are saying Amorim is rubbish and should be sacked, then as soon as he's sacked they're laughing at the decision to do so. That kind of fickleness is to be expected I suppose, but it's still laughable.
  12. I do laugh at this. People spent the last 14 months laughing at Amorim saying that he's out of his depth and is very lucky to be in a job. Now he's sacked and the board are clueless for doing it. Was it a mistake then?
  13. Our ex players cause more damage that they know. Bunch of thick cunts. Except for Ole. Ole is my boy.
  14. There's no fun in that Andy.
  15. Because we started going backwards. Doesn't erase what he achieved in his first two seasons.
  16. Ten Hag finished third and won two trophies in two years. Of course he did as good a job as Howe. You're the one rewriting history because of how it ended.
  17. Moyes is lucky he lasted as long as he did given some of the things he said. He said we should aspire to be like City when we were the current champions. I don't need to give my thoughts on RedCafe again. Horrible negative place. Can confidently say the majority of our fanbase would be happy with Howe as our manager. Looking at the list of available managers it's pretty brutal. Genuinely want Ole back until the summer.
  18. That's nearly 13 years ago.
  19. You don't understand how wide of the mark you are with this.
  20. In reality we're exactly where I said we are.
  21. We're level on points with top 5 now.
  22. I think you could bring in a dog and play 4-2-3-1 and this team easily makes Europe to be honest. Sounds like they'll wait until the summer though.
  23. He tried to outsource everything. Wanted to use external data companies for all his decisions and Ratcliffe was basically like, "well what's the fucking point of you then?" and sent him back to his garden.
