  1. Sorry lads we like to support our managers. We'll not sing for the next one. Maybe trying booing him like you lot do for Elanga and see if that increases confidence.
  2. Ugh. I don't know. Just give me Ole back.
  3. We've had a lot of ifs lately too Yorkie. should be way higher in the table. Football doesn't work on ifs and maybes and that's why we're crap and you're even worse.
  4. My five year old has literally just grasped the Amorim song too. Took him ages to get it right. Fuck sake.
  5. We don't know enough behind the scenes to make a decision on that I think. On the surface, I think he was backed more than most managers would ever be backed at any club. He apparently wanted Ruben Neves this window and was told no and that caused a lot of tension. I'm sure more will come out soon.
  6. Don't think he can complain but I'd have liked him to have a bit longer. Think we were trending in the right direction. Poor results lately but missing literally all of our best players and were still avoiding defeat for the most part. Sounds like he fell out with the board though. Always the beginning of the end.
  7. A lot of reports that the relationship broke down recently as he felt he wasn't being backed. Not sure how he can think that to be honest. I think we were threatening something good but every opportunity we had to move up the table we lost or drew in games we should have won. Sad to see him go but don't think he can have any complaints.
  8. Welcome to Manchester, Eddie.
  9. Been coming this for Wolves. They've been very unlucky over the last month or so.
  10. There's been a lot worse.
  11. 22 years old, new league, had a month out with an injury, only half way through the season... "wilts"

  13. Wouldnt say that Rod. We were poor last night and Wolves deserved a point and possibly more because they actually created good chances against us whereas Newcastle couldn't create anything meaningful. I've no issue admitting our failings, don't worry. We're going to be very poor, as you would expect, with the list of absentees we've got. Not scoring against us at the minute is basically a war crime.
  14. No Rod. You created nothing so I didn't think you deserved much. I felt much more threat from Wolves tonight than I did against yourselves. I expected us to be poor while all these players were out. Would have taken a draw against Newcastle, but anything but a win against Wolves isn't acceptable. There'll be a touch of pressure on Amorim now for the next couple. Burnley is a must win.
  15. Ref gave us nothing all game to be fair. Not like Wolves needed the help mind. They probably deserved to win that. Getting a taste of life without Bruno Fernandes here.
  16. The smart move is Dortmund with a release clause.
  17. Probably works out at a very small PSR profit.
  18. It's a good job they won with a clean sheet in that case, especially given how much Pogba cost.
  19. I think the reserves did well personally.
  20. This is the problem with recency bias. You're saying you've never seen us more on the backfoot against you, but it literally happened in the 0-2 last season. The first half in that game you dominated because you actually created chances, unlike this game. That was a far better performance. I don't think Dalot or Sesko were offside either, and calling Hall's speculative 25 yard effort a chance is generous despite how good of a strike it was. Can we not say "missing a few players" as well please? It was pretty much all of our best players. Again, this game shows nothing negative about the "current state" of our club. If anything it shows a bit of resilience that wasn't there before. A team this depleted would have been spanked last season.
  21. We won without Fernandes, Mbeumo, Amad and De Ligt. We beat a side that has won five of the last six against us, and kept a clean sheet without really conceding a high quality chance. There's no real negatives here for us as much as people are trying to dress it up that way.
  22. We slaughtered Wolves three weeks ago at their own place. Agree it will be much harder with the absentees but we would be extremely unhappy with anything but a win.
