  1. Leeds are so much better to watch than anybody but the top few teams, so hopefully they will stay up.
  2. That's how you play against 10 men.
  3. Unfortunately so are we. Neither Everton or us will go down as there will be three even shittier teams to save us both.
  4. I'm sure that Bruno is a good player but in a team with no possession he's never going to be effective. Cabaye was the same.
  5. This is like watching the Brighton game, first of all they are way better than we are, secondly we are incapable of keeping possession, I know we have been getting results but just in case anybody thinks we are any good, we aren't.
  6. Sevilla have increased Diego Carlos' release clause to 80 million euros (£67m). Newcastle tried to sign the 28-year-old Brazilian in January but the Spanish side were not prepared to sell the defender. (Goal) Atletico Madrid are frontrunners to sign Marseille's highly rated French midfielder Boubacar Kamara. Manchester United and Newcastle have also been linked with the 22-year-old, but Atletico are favourites to secure his services on a free transfer this summer. (Footmercato - in French)
  7. This second half is about the most one sided I've seen for years. We literally have no possession.
  8. We'll be lucky to get three points out of this the way we are playing. We are more organised and look better defensively but we are still incapable of holding on to the ball when we get it. It's all Brighton.
  9. I'm at a 4 slightly less likely not to get relegated than to drop. If we'd bought a goal scorer and not inadvertently strengthened Burnley I'd be more confident.
  10. Newcastle are lining up a fresh £45m summer bid for Crystal Palace's 23-year-old English playmaker Eberechi Eze. (Mirror) Newcastle are facing a fight to retain 30-year-old Swiss defender Fabian Schar as his contract enters its final few months, with AC Milan, Sevilla and Valencia interested. (Mail) If the rumour about Eze is true it would imply that we have already tried to sign him.
  11. Arsenal turned down offers in the January transfer window for Egypt midfielder Mohamed Elneny from Newcastle, Leeds and Watford, despite the 29-year-old's contract being set to expire in July. (Sun)
  12. Newcastle United keeper Martin Dubravka, 33, turned down a loan move to Manchester United in January, with the Magpies offering the Slovakia international to the Old Trafford club in their attempts to bring in England stopper Dean Henderson, 24, until the end of the season. (Manchester Evening News)
  13. Don't win tonight and an extremely cold bucket of water will be dropped on a lot of people in here. There are still no goals in the team and Lascelles, Shelvey and Fraser will no doubt start along with Wood. They wouldn't stand out in the Championship.
  14. We were in danger of being relegated before the window opened and we are in the same position after its closed so I don't see how anyone can see it as being a resounding success. Lascelles and Shelvey will no doubt still start, and we are still relying on Joe to become an all round midfield player all of a sudden. There are still no goals in the team so one of the supposed forwards we have will have to step up. Wood, ASM, Almiron, Murphy, Gayle, Willock, Fraser, not a list to make anyone feel confident.
  15. As above, perfectly put. I wouldn't go as high as 5.5 though, there was a chance to bring in players and make sure we had no chance of getting relegated. Although we will no doubt be better defensively, we haven't bought any more goals so there is still a serious risk that we go down. We have also allowed Burnley to upgrade their CF so we better hope his goals don't make the difference.
  16. Our goalies are all shit so it doesn't matter
  17. So you think buying Trippier and Wood keeps us up? We'll likely finish bottom without further additions. Watford have bought 4 maybe 5 and brought in a new and better manager for the position they are in. It's called an opinion and a realistic one (IMO)
  18. A few days left, but with this squad we go down. Watford will get a bump with Roy unlike the lack of bump we got with Howe.
  19. Got to admire Watford for the way they bounce out crap under performing managers at short notice. Pity clubs cant do the same with players so easily.
  20. Looking good against PSG this evening.
  21. Burnley are so much better than us defensively, as a team and individually. Fortunately they have nothing going forward, even less so now without Wood.
  22. You don't need metrics to know that Bruce was shit and so far Howe is shit.
