I appreciate the point you are trying to make (as anyone who knows me knows I’ve always tried to help people out from far and wide on here along with day to day friends) however by the letter of the law there’s been no real changes as such. It’s always been the T&Cs for decades the purchaser of the ticket should be the one going to the game. That’s why they have to offer full refund if you can’t attend within a fair timescale. They are simply trying to enforce it more so they have a truer picture of who wants/is going to the games as well as increase income via more memberships. So in theory these alleged avenues she might be using have been available whereas those who feel they are missing out actually strictly shouldn’t of been. They’ve just benefited from knowing someone with a ST or even a ST with points which is just a different kind of nepotism.

Without knowing for sure or being in the know at all these are the two most likely situations and I’m guessing the first one to comply ironically with the new rules. Just a possible scenario the likes of Hurst/Martin at the time had more than one ST for their business even possibly in their own names and have had to made a decision to put them in certain names going forward. Last season under the old rules Charlotte Robson was at Brentford away in the seat next to George Caulkins so unless it was an extreme coincidence it was either a case of GC using a TF away ticket of CR using a ticket that GC had acquired via his contacts or Athletic. Whoever this Simon is should in theory still be able to put a bus on as away ends still selling out. He might have to be more competitive with his prices to entice people away from cars and trains. Shouldn’t be too difficult as my mate had to pay 2x£65 for a coach (someone called Paul) to Fulham for him and his son! I made the same trip for less on the train. The fact that he can’t because he can’t transfer his multiple STs doesn’t show his intentions in the best of lights as they really shouldn’t go hand in hand. @jack j How many has he got? Are they all in his name? What does he do with them now? And what does he do with the home fixture seats?

Pretty sure True-Faith (the company) has several STs that they all share. So they might be correct in saying it’s not in her name but pretty sure they are shared around their organisation for their reporting and content.

Can’t recall all this clip being in the doc but maybe it was…

Nice little clip show some of Colo’s game. Think surround by this defence and midfield he’d have no problems at all.

Comfort on the ball. Dribbling passed forwards. Bring ball down in tight spaces. Playing out in tight spaces. Reading of the game and anticipation with cute nudges and interceptions and flicks of the ball whilst not having recovery pace. What I would describe as the small side of the game where your footballing ability needs to be at its highest. It was like he was playing futsal at times. Just natural footballing ability. Long passing and aerially and physically Schär is better and has a greater goal threat but I said that in the op along with saying they both lack a yard of pace. Actually think Colo hid it better with his reading of the game maybe slightly better also. Love Schär but between them there’s only one I’m backing stuck in the corner flag surrounded by attackers.

Totally wasted under Bruce. Shame we couldn’t get those two years back for him.

Again. That’s not what I’m arguing.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
LFEE replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
PSG payments starting to come out I see. -
Didn’t want to quote everyone but stand by Colo had better footballing ability than Schär. Some of those disagreeing clearly not understanding what I’m specifically referring to also. In short on a 5-A-Side team I’d have Colo over Schär. Think @The College Dropoutcome closest to understanding what I was getting at.

Depends how specific you want to be. Ceefax was BBC Oracle was ITV and Ch4 and Teletext was the overall service. Yes… I did work in Teletext ?

If it’s a broken toe you’d think 6wks minimum for it to knit plus rehab. Timing bad as with AG on 4 yellows you’d imagine Barnes was due a lot of game time.

See this is how fans have been warped over the years with the changes to the rule etc. It’s not even a common sense handball. It’s absolutely a case of a ball accidentally hitting a hand. Gordon had no intent to do it or made an unnatural movement either. It’s the classic old school non-hand ball. If anything I would argue it’s more of a modern hand ball by the rules of the game. Anyway either way this is why they rightfully removed the argument from someone assisting and left it only applying to the scorer. To me the rule should be it’s not a hand ball unless you move your arm towards it when ball not goal bound. Then you could have a more severe interpretation for a goal bound effort where it just has to hit the arm below the sleeve line it’s a penalty so clear cut for a more likely goal prevention whereas the defender has a little more scope to be excused when not goal bound. Some of the decisions of late are basically just giving teams goals.

Colo had better footballing ability. Both very similar styles of defender. Both lacking sadly pace which can be exposed. Schär stronger in the air and better at shooting and I dare say free kicks. Ball at their feet there is no contest with Colo coming out on top. Colo would be great in this team also.

Yep they were whinging about it on the radio until Pardew of all people quoted the new/current rule and the Shef Utd fan as well as the co-host shut up ?
-
Reading back through the thread and surprised at the reaction to the first goal and how many of you thought it shouldn’t be allowed. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Clear goal.

Forecast windy in Sheffield.
