  1. Ditto for me. Sorry. Thought money was a joke I’d missed but yeah happy to lose £2.50 to see you lovely people
  2. Maybe I'm confusing it with his general shooting from open play but he was massively wayward at times, like. His shooting was fine. I think you are just confused I remember that either his first 7-14 games he’d either scored or assisted majorly in a goal.

    Kevin Keegan

    Yep. Woodgate’s back heal.
  4. Not sure if I’ve asked this before but I’d love to know the conversion rate of Robert’s free kicks. I went pretty much H&A during that time and I don’t recall him missing one! Best FK taker there has been in the EPL.
  5. Depending on date/time I’m in.

  7. He’d just won 2 trophies 3 month earlier. Like all managers they should be judged on full seasons. Preferably two.
  8. Will be interesting to see how he does when fans return.

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. I do love this place. Let’s hope 2021 is more fun. A massive forum get together needs to happen
  10. I used to watch your lot (in the flesh) quite a lot when Gascoigne first came through. I absolutely agree, Grealish and Gazza have a lot in common. As well as talent, they both have that bit of arrogance that real flair players have. The key difference is Gazza wanted to stay on his feet and cause damage in the final third whereas Grealish all too many times seems happy to just win a free kick. In Gazza’s era he wouldn’t even be getting the free kicks given either. Which is probably a main reason why Gazza didn't do it. He wasn’t of that mindset though. If Grealish has more protection why isn’t he bursting through defences instead of shielding ball and dropping to his knees all the time? It just seems an easy option each time. I think some of that is confirmation bias, I'm not saying he doesn't go down easy, he does but he also creates a shit load of chances and scores and assists. Also he used to get kicked full on all over the pitch. Listening to people on the radio and TV and reading many many tweets, posts and articles it’s uncanny when asked what are Grealish’s qualities the winning of free kicks rolls off the tongue first. Not saying he’s not a good player. Just wished he’d not take the easy option all the time and actually attack defenders more.

  13. Probably more of a pen than ours
  14. Has Slim[/member] still got the banner safe?
  15. Up for a quiz. Or is this just a full on Pointless?
  16. I’m puzzled where I got the hat from. I never wear a hat although I know we we’re keeping low-key from the security That day was my first dealings with Lee Ryder. Thick as mince. never seen it since, was a one day thing it seems Actually did I turn up with a woman and borrow it off her? Seem to have some recollection of that.

  18. Use VAR to decide who gains possession from ball going out of play. We are on the slippery slope now. That would be horrific Yep it would be but once you study one thing and re ref it they will whinge and want to study should the corner of been given for the goal etc. People who whinged about ref decisions getting their comeuppance now. No doubt they will try but in theory it should be a lot easier and clearer to decide.
  19. Any part of body in line with defender then onside. So clear daylight given off. Would still need for throw ins and corners unless they decide to go further. Does that solve the problem? Aren't you still going to have them making the same mistakes when one part of the body is onside but it's really close? Yes because you look at the freeze frame and should see daylight/gap between the players. What you have now which is causing the problem is it’s certain parts of the body they are considering and not others which depending on body positions can make it all look a bit silly. The clear and obvious should’ve been followed and basically if you can’t figure it out with one look then take it as onside. (Or offside if linesman has decided but I’d rather it be onside all the time). Instead they analyse and analyse for minutes on end which quite clearly proves whatever the decision they want to change or confirm wasn’t clear and obvious so they shouldn’t get involved.
