  1. We were up against the best HOME team in the division so was always going to be a tough game. As is any away game in the EPL.
  2. Schar getting unfairly sent off? We were better than Spurs. Bournemouth handball decision was correct. Can’t recall much go for us this season.
  3. Ultimately football is about moments and this season we’ve been on the wrong side of them. 22/23 we were on the right side of most. 23/24 it felt an even split at best. 24/25 we aren’t getting the rub of the green it feels. NONE of them are anything to do with EH. The owners. PM. The transfer strategy. Injuries and so on and so on. This week alone we hang on against Palace, Gordon slots his 1v1 and Isak rounds the keeper and puts us 1-2 ahead. You could be talking at a great week and 9 points instead of 2. This is the story of this season. Teams have them. The fundamentals however don’t need to be ripped up because they didn’t.
  4. Nope. I believe our 4th season was Leicester’s league winning season. Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs returned to their norm. Aston Villa capitalised on fixture free season with early domestic cup failures. We were the next best team without going backwards. The balance of the team you could argue wasn’t as good with us not looking as defensively solid. We did lose our two big defensive signings in Botman and Trippier that season. Tino did well but Hall has shown this is the first full season he’s been ready for. 7th was a great achievement and we probably deserved 6th TBH.
  5. In their defence (despite me agreeing to a degree ref Barnes) they were bought under a strategy that wasn’t expected to be in play still. The strategy then was to have 2 HQ players in each position. You can debate the order in which you do that but you can’t argue we are strong at LW and now not suspended in midfield.
  6. Not going in to heavy as your last sentence you acknowledge the situation. I’d go further and and say we did great to to get 7th in a campaign that contained no rotational games in 6 in the UCL. No rotational games in either domestic cup competitions yet we beat both Manchester teams and were robbed from an another winnable semi when we played Chelsea. Only the best team ever knocking us out of the FAC on their own ground. That and us breaking our goal scoring record for a top flight season. I wouldn’t say we went backwards at all. Especially with what felt like 14 players available majority of the time.
  7. He wanted Tosin and Guehi and got neither and settled for Kelly. That’s not what I’d call backing your manager. Especially in a window he had to sell two players he didn’t want to. Backing a manager is different to simply agreeing with his targets. You got to secure them.
  8. I don’t think they have those doubts. Like I say. Every time he’s been backed he’s repaid with interest.
  9. What has he shown why he shouldn’t be backed in the transfer window? Every window he’s been backed he’s achieved objectives and beyond.
  10. Disagree. I think they have MORE patience than our vocal fanbase. They are aware the EPL have shifted the goalposts since the takeover numerous times leading us to be inactive pretty much in the transfer market and actually having to sell players we’d rather we didn’t have to. Best start to a season and a QF with potentially a SF in our grasp and that’s without the FA Cup starting which without any guarantees would look to have us in the 4th round if we do what is required. Loads to play for with a bit of luck. Priority with the owners now is the revenue streams and maximise success under a restricted budget until rules are changed. Cant think of a better manager to have under those circumstances than EH. Keep the faith. A good January and the picture may look very different come May.
  11. Thought we played well first half and were the better team. Second half seemed a bit of a mess with the subs not helping at all except maybe Wilson. No disgrace in losing away to the best home team this season. Third goal killed us which despite what EH said I did feel was weather contributed. It shows we aren’t at the stage where we can rotate unnecessarily. Bunce’s input may have us all looking a bit silly when it comes to final third of the season but as it stands last season’s approach of playing until burnt out completely looking like it suits us better. Ultimately if Joelinton plays well (our only outfield ever present?) we play well. Today he looked knackered after half an hour.
  12. With us not being in Europe this season if we were to do it any season it was this one.
  13. Still Isak’s main weak point. When he drifts into thinking how will I make this look a cool finish before actually just putting it into the net and getting caught out. Second time this season.
  14. Wonder what price they are? Might need to find a Mags+ mate
  15. You might want to read this just out today. Quite a bit on Home & Away ticket issues and punishments. Wouldn’t get your hopes up too high. https://www.nufctrust.co.uk/news/fan-advisory-board-meeting-formal-minutes-nov-4-2024/
  16. This is would’ve been a game for Kelly and Kraft. Shame Kelly has had a underwhelming start here and Kraft injured. Need mobility more than anything in that back line.
  17. Yep. Hence why the club probably shouldn’t commit to a % success rate over the season. In theory you’ve a % chance but seems like you could be unlucky and get nothing also.

    In memoriam

Met his son a few years back when he was working in a Spa/Hotel in the Lake District. When he told me who he was he shared how poorly his dad was back then even. Had loads of old photos laminated that he was selling as a weird sideline at the reception. One of my dad’s favourite players for us. Particularly his two games against Rangers iirc. RIP
  19. Already suffering hamstring injuries. Bit concerning at such a young age.
  20. Probably sold out the pre sale allocation so it will be general sale tomorrow. £81 to see Sam Fender?! 🤦🏼‍♂️ Crazy. How much was it last time?
  21. Were they not on sale a day or two ago? Seen friends posting on Facebook they had secured them.
  22. WorFlags’s asking for more help again this coming Fri Sat Sun… I’ll be in Sunday… RSVP

The thousands of artists you say don’t exist are the players though. You reckon they’ll offer an official package of all sports tv shows and movies for £5 per month? Or even just all sports? Clubs have to player ever increasing players more money because they want the best players because it’s a competitive industry. Until players and coaches etc salaries are drastically reigned in I can’t see them reaching the price point required as those most in demand will look to play and coach in other leagues. Not arguing it’s a not good idea. Just feel the horse has bolted as younger more tech savvy fans become the customer base.

Music piracy has more or less disappeared but like I said yesterday so has the money for recording bands.
