My main concern for this fixture is I feel their fans will get behind an under strength team as opposed to one littered with players they’ve give up on. Could be enough to inspire them to a tight win. If our midfield are on their game and don’t crumble I fancy us to just nick it due to their line up. Two prime 11’s I’d still back them at home.

I get what you mean but as I explained after the game to a Villa fan thinking it was a bit harsh you’ve got to put the incident to one side and piece together Dhuran’s actions leading up to it as he got more and more frustrated. Schar was catching him offside a couple of times quite cutely and also beating him to the ball by reading the game better frustrating him then also he was took off the free kick Digne took which he showed frustration with also. Turned to the lad next to me and said he’s losing his head a bit. Next thing he rakes Schar with each foot with at least one of them avoidable

Exactly… we had set up into counterattacking the high line mode with our noses in front. Hence why we still had all the best chances and goal disallowed in that first half whilst Villa offered very little.

Just had a couple of pints with a staunch Villa fan. In short since they beat us 3:0 EH has learned and the only manager that’s had UE’s number.

The way I read it from EH is Dubravka is gone as soon as Pope is fit. Only thing else I can see happening this window is Miggy out for a new RW but who knows. Things can change quickly in a transfer window depending on other clubs wants and needs.

Yes but Spurs had a smaller specific fanbase than ours then and doubled the size of their stadium that they didn’t always fill. We are looking to to add 20-25k on to get mainly fans locked out after leaving because of Ashley and Rafa debacle. Levy’s plan was far more calculated.

Personally never been one to overly criticise other fanbases. Even our dearest neighbours. Fans should stick together rather than let themselves be divided and conquered. That’s how you end up with Brexit and Premier Leagues and European Super Leagues.

Still never understand the “65K is the sweet spot” rhetoric. The demand is already far surpassing that for basic tickets without even expanding the corporate areas and fulfilling the waiting list for them and that’s just the football alone. Got to look further down the line when we crack PSR and can compete and secure some of the best signings for decades to come. We’ve really got to be aiming to have the biggest stadium in the league or thereabouts to catch up. Building anything smaller or similar size to our competitors just keeps the status quo unless there is a rule change. The smaller the stadium the higher the ticket price increases will continue to be. I appreciate the idea of having people locked out to maintain a certain degree of value to the ticket price but it be foolish to have 10k plus missing out every game as and when we grow.
