I wouldn’t of ruled out the goal. Advantage should go to the forward IMO. We want goals yet VAR overruled a penalty (thought defenders studs were on the line) and a goal (thought Watkins was level).

I agree. VAR shouldn’t of overturned the penalty as it wasn’t and still isn’t a clear & obvious error.

Hadn’t realised he’d scored so many goals for Roma. Shame we didn’t get him when Rafa wanted him.

They didn’t though because Rio could stay fit. Could obviously see Woodgate’s class but his time at NUFC is massively overrated. Hardly managed to play a couple of games in succession so we never had a settled back four. His brief spell here was quite frustrating all in all and we did well to get our money back and more for him. Obviously Real Madrid made amends doing the same to us with Owen.
