Aye, and it won't happen unfortunately. He's been poor the 3 times I've looked up mind Take it he's highly rated? Aye he's supposed to have a lot of potential, perhaps a bit inconsistent(?) from what I've read. Only seen him in a few games and I thought he looked very good. look forward to your scouting report. I've switched over to Celtic game as I sense a possible upset tonight.

It's just not enough as I said above for Ashley to care about. Also the TV rule doesn't apply as we are the exception to the rule as Sky etc love to have NUFC on as they are guaranteed a crowd home & away and hopefully a decent atmosphere to go along with it. -

Unless I'm wrong, there is no TV money until next year and sadly our support doesn't offer us anything in the way of financial leverage. Obviously the fat c*** could just show some balls and give Rafa 50m. He's a gambling man and it's a no brainer. 50m would probably make us a decently solid mid table team at least, for sure. Even if he loaned Rafas budget 50m this year and took 10m off for the next 5 years. It would make total sense to invest properly now. 10m would be nothing when we are getting 100m TV money every season. Can any of you tell me how much difference in prize money we would get from finishing 8th as opposed to 17th? Last time I looked it was about £500k extra per place. So 17th to 8th would be circa £4m extra prize money. Might be different under the new deal, but previously being on TV more often was much more lucrative IIRC. Ashley would just look at that and think why spend £50m to only get £4m extra back. That's the gamble he takes. Not the gamble you'd like him to take sadly. Edit: point still stands at £20m+... in fact £49m -
Is that the lad we've been linked to playing for AM?

When he got turned easily and had to drag the lad back made for uncomfortable viewing but that's nitpicking overall from the rest of his performance today. Too early to judge though.

Saturday 1st October I'll put forward as possible date to tie in with the home game on the 2nd on Sky against Liverpool and also after people's summer holidays and cricket seasons etc.

Agree but he was dreadful until the goal today mind! And after... He's just not very good. So slow. Rivière looked better his first pre-season than Mitro has in any of his pre-seasons. Likeable lad at a stretch but that's it.

Awful first touch for that 3rd goal -
Genius to negotiate 30 mill + lolz if he'd just been ok then i wouldn't have cared, it's the fact he's been utterly dismal that makes it and no-one on the planet has any interest in him anymore What makes it funnier is the Spurs fans reaction when they stole him from under the noses of Everton. Even Everton are laughing at him now.

Saw no lash out mind. He digged his knee in him as he was walking past the GK and pushed him at the same time. -

Time to get this locked in saying we've not done a Red v Blue game this year. Anyone wanting to play please post along with date suggestions (more so for those traveling from afar) ASAP then we'll start looking to narrowing it down to a agreed date.
-
Me too. He's just not athletic or is doing something wrong in the season. Not sure i've seen a player in his mid 20's suffer so badly with athletic fitness - perhaps Guthrie. 2 years ago I know he got a Chef. Last year - working harder than ever apparently. This year - again. Doesn't he like a pint or two still through the week up Ponteland way?
-
This. And the fact that I do think we are now at the rebuilding stage where we are looking at a level where the players we've targeted are weighing up their options with their agents to see if something better than NUFC comes up. This is the main reason as we will never throw mind changing money at them personally for them to push the decision with their own clubs.
-
We will get a striker, GK and another offensive midfielder that's comfortable down the middle and on the left. We'll go with the LB's we have and No.10's who along with Atsu will compete with said offensive midfielder. 4 squad players will be sold or loaned out with a GK most certain to be sold if not two. Maybe 1 surprise sale... prediction would be Ritchie. Let's see how all that pans out

From the brief cameo's I've seen of Lucas Perez I seem to recall he's extremely one footed which I hate unless that one foot is genius. This lad makes Santon look two footed

This. this How much of Rolan have the 3 of you seen out of interest. Would be interested to having a first hand scouting report on him as I've a feeling that it is a case of him being one of our late in the window options.
