I've just called in and they normally don't open until 12pm on a Sunday however I explained the occasion etc and they will open up the pitch for us for 10am KO. They normally just do 60min slots at £54.50 but again they have kindly said they'd come to some agreement if we only want to play 90mins though I was thinking it might be nice for us to book the 2hrs as it takes the owner up to the official opening time but not essential. Either way as long as we pre-pay the pitch they are being very helpful for us. Looking at the numbers we have we'll be looking at around £8 each for 2hrs pitch time.

I don't know about carrying more threat, we had Townsend, Sissoko and Wijnaldum in that side, but I do think we will be better organised at the back so we should be able to make it hard for them as long as we don't concede early. I'm hoping our team spirit gets us through some tough times in games along with the new additions. What I struggle to get out my head is we played Hull in the cup at a time when we were flying and they were horrendous and had a few injuries yet they beat us with 10 ultimately. The away changing rooms are based just under one of the terraces behind the goals so at HT all the Boca fans start jumping up and down etc and the noise can be heard as the manager is trying to give the team talk. I never follow this line of Ashley vs 'the club'. All of it is his own money. If NUFC loses money, Ashley loses money. The whole lot is his and his alone. And he's lost repeatedly. Even now there is no guarantee that he would get back every penny he's put in, never mind a decent return over 10 years- all very well big TV deals pumping money in, but if it all goes out on players then you are no further forward. Ashley's net spend per season here is £4.4m before this window I believe. Have a think how much TV money we've had in that 10yrs. The club is in more debt than it was when he took over. How does that work out? When you've done the math for me please let me know.
