The defender kicked his leg right across the Celtic player's body with enough force to bring him down and didn't get near the ball. As text book a penalty you'll see. Hill reached across and got toe on ball as it diverts. Outstretched leg makes contact with the forward but contact is part of the game and allowed unless it's seen as a foul which this was highly debatable. Hence not stonewall on replays. Hence ref not giving it as he only has a split second and one view and is behind the two players. Stonewall is no doubt and there was plenty.

It's probably no consolation, you've witnessed the worst game I can remember seeing this season. Had your statement in my mind earlier about no complacency ... just shows you there is no science in football. Also stand by my comment that Fulham are by far and away the best footballing team in the league. Didn't fancy us at all today.

The main problem I see now also with atmosphere at football is game management by not only players but officials more so. The idea that they are taught these days to calm the game down to avoid incident is very troubling. Football is far too stop start now with little goalmouth incident to what you should get in 90mins. Ball in play should maybe be included these days to stop time wasting. Probably get 40mins actual football these days.

The reason they were moved from the west corner of the L7 Leazes to the east side was to assist policing/stewarding i.e. only having one end of segregation. Would cause problems to move them anywhere else now. Aye, hopefully the club will get their own way. Absolutely ridiculous rule that offers f*** all other than inconveniencing clubs like us with a grand stadium rather than those daft Lego setups. I'm all for it. It's human nature as well though. Hence why it's a thing. As is the 2-0 HT. As is the due a hammering once a season. These things do tend to have a habit of reoccurring Odd thing for anyone to have them as a pet hate.

100% agree. Not sure. Maybe trial it where it only kicks in after ET. Still feel it has merit and if abolished you'd soon realise why it was implemented in the first place.
