  1. Same with Oliver. Ironically the two refs people tend to see as amongst the best in the league.
  2. Spill the beans then? I still think he's the best ref in the PL though it's obviously subjective such is the job.
  3. Is that Net? Tbh it annoys me when every Sky pundit trots out the line about Newcastle spending a fortune in the summer, when net we didn't spend a penny. That was the point I was making.
  4. Just seen the highlights. I'd say the only missed chance was the Mitro 1on1. The rest just half chances. Two canny goals from us. Both their goals were awful mind
  5. There is apparent unrest around his faith in Ozil who has been really poor for quite a long period now. From who exactly? Other than Sanchez and Giroud none could really call him out after their own fluctuating performances.
  6. Wenger staying loyal with his Champions League GK. Big call but you can see why he rarely loses the respect of his players.
  7. I think it'll be close tonight, but I'm worried about Brighton and Huddersfield away in terms of a hammering. Aye you could be right about tonight and Huddersfield. Brighton I think will be cagey IMO.
  8. Every team gets whipped once a season. Have a funny feeling it could be tonight. Let's hope not though.
  9. That's good news as there was talk of not being back until training in April. Mind you Ritchie seems to work better with Yedlin.

    Kevin Keegan

Transformed the club and gave me so many memorable moments. Still the man
  11. Because the board didn't back him for a central midfielder in the transfer window. and before the transfer window ? He's probably aimed for a bit blend and hoped he'd be ok at this level. Also he's played Hayden when fully fit more often lately with only his injury let Colback having another run in the team. Can't think of any other CM's at the club (?) Tiote he clearly wanted to offload. Saviet is possibly the only one you might've thought would've replaced him. At this level Anita ? Nope I'm afraid not I think he'd struggle like Perez does centrally. Remember he was probably one of our best/most consistent players at RB also until his injury. You jest, he'd struggle in place of Colback ?, also one of our better players on the ball. In this division playing that role he doesn't have to get about like he was asked when playing in the middle in the prem, could play Diame there. In short I don't think 4-2-3-1 gets the best from what we have in this divison (you may have guessed), strange how Perez looked more than OK up front in a better division, drop him back, turn him towards his own goal and he;s not as good, who'd have thought ? Sadly I've seen Colback had more successful games in CM than Anita ever has in both their time here. And for the record I really dislike Colback and really like Anita. Anita is best suited to RB so keep him there and let him learn the position further. Colback just needs replaced which Rafa knows but his hands are tied. Don't forget Anita is out for the season so although it could've been trialled it ain't happening now. Last season I thought Anita was frequently better than Colback, even had a few MOTM worthy performances Liverpool at home being an example, they were just dreadful together as Anita is a below average CM at prem level and Colback is a below average pile of horse s***. It's certainly clear neither are the answer.

  14. Does the fact it comes off the Wolves player effect anything regarding phase of play?

  17. He was in the squad on Saturday Did he make bench? Just wondering if he's still carrying a knock.
  18. I do think they should've freshened things up a bit more TBF, easy to say in hindsight obviously. They've still spent over £70m on players this season. Yeah true, just none of them made the team. Should've bought a CH along with CF instead of two CF's.
  19. Was that when Robbie Elliott played central midfield due to an injury crisis and was absolutely outstanding? Dinnar. Wasn't alive. I remember it being released on video as KK had described it as the best team performance under his reign up until then.
  20. Awful game. Quite interesting watching it whilst the rugby was on along with Liverpool v Spurs. The gap in quality was huge and that was just between us and Wales v England. Liverpool v Spurs almost a different sport.
  21. You missed an opportunity there

    Paul Dummett

You sure? Never recall Valencia or Liverpool having roving fullbacks. Did they have decent wide midfielders in front of the full backs? The Dummett/Gouffran duo seems an unlikely partnership to provide any service to the strikers. I'd like to think so as they won a fair few trophies Not sure what point you are making anymore though. I was simply stating in response to your statement that Rafa seems to like his fullbacks to stay home so in essence someone of Dummett's ilk is perfectly suite. Not saying he's good or anything but I can see why he is picked for virtually every game and currently the least of his worries.
