I thought the council said it would not "pay" for the change of the signs rather than "not" change them...

Rennes still very keen according to Auclair...

I'd agree with this. We'd have to put up with transfer speculation from droopyface for the whole season. At least this way, it's restricted to January. Personally think there should be one window from season closing up until July... Season tickets then sold July-Aug... so fans know what they are getting that season for their money... Manager can only move during this window also... No loan deals allowed for top flight teams at all... First team squad of 22... All available for a match day squad... Any injuries then club must blood there own players from their youth teams...
  5. Auclair on TalkSport has explained the PSG interview and it's nothing... Also said he's not convinced there is a release clause in Ba's contract...
  6. Not a fan of his with all the play acting etc but they reckon he was subjected to some horrendous racial abuse from the crowd last night... Was expecting more to be made of it in the current climate...

I don't see how... May I ask how much of HBA you have seen before his injury?... To say he's not as slender or has the same amount of acceleration in my opinion is head in sand material... If you've didn't see much of him Pre injury try and locate some footage... I'm guessing there is plenty available... You´re just paranoid man. If (if!)there is any change to his explosiveness, that would most probably be due to loss of muscle mass in his broken leg, which is just a temporary thing. Can´t say I´ve noticed he is any less explosive/slower, so Im sticking with the paranoid theory. It is ok to agree to disagree... And I do... Not by much... But noticeable enough...

No... Only game along with Forest away and the USA friendlies that I've not... And I never once said I was... I was commenting on the goal he scored and an observation on what he was like before his injury.... So in a nutshell as great a goal it was... It still highlighted to me he's not as rapid quick that he was before his injury... And also that it's a shame we missed watching him intergrate into the team due to that injury... I.E. highlighting what a shame and impact a serious injury can have short and mid term... The long term is where I'm hoping to be proved wrong...

Are you joking? Everything he did at the math yesterday he did at blistering speed. It was a flipping joy to behold to be honest! Take a deep breath and digest what I said again... There is degrees of pace... And yesterday was not what I would class as blistering... Which I'm trying to highlight he had in his locker over a short/medium distance before his injury... Not saying he's not quick... Not saying he's not skilful... Just saying he's not the player he was... Yet... Were you at the game? On several occasions yesterday he displayed pace very close to, if not on par with what he showed against Everton. I'm no fanboy by the way. Check my previous posts re Ben Arfa if you need. Just thought he was tremendous yesterday. Which is exactly what I'm saying... I.E. not quite like what he was like against Blackpool/Everton/Stoke... Not saying the lad is a million miles away... I reiterate... It's a shame we missed watching him develope for us in the team for a year and that now he's returned he's not as quick over those first 10-15 yards... So what you're saying is that he was quicker. The thing is for most of us, it's hard to imagine him being quicker/faster especially seeing the way he ran for the goal Yes that's what I'm saying... He was even quicker... Like he was gliding at times... Don't get me wrong... Since seeing down at Darlington then at the likes of Man City/Blackburn away in the cup and Bolton away along with most of his home appearances you can see the sharpness returning which is a great sign for us all as if he gets back to his Marseille levels we know he's back 100%...

Just highlights more what a travesty the double leg break was... Not just the stalling of his NUFC career but his loss of explosive pace... Keeping my fingers crossed he's still recovering but its quite noticeable he hasn't got the acceleration that he had at Marseille and his first couple of appearances for us... Maybe it's an age thing as he's not as slender as he used to be either...
  14. Who knows... Time is an abstract concept...
  15. Just caught a bit of the Transfer Tavern on TalkSport and the Dutch correspondent claimed we'd invited one of the FC Twente players over... I missed his name though did anyone catch it?... All i can say was he was 21yrs old...

    Players in public

Haris outside Game in Metro Centre...
  20. No apologies... We are talking about the same incident... My mistake... Looked like Adam rolling around in the pub... Just re-watched... Still thought Spearing was reckless from one angle... Whereas from another angle Cabaye doesn't cover himself in glory either... Wonder if thats why the ref actually played on initially...
  21. Definetly talking about a different incident to the one I'm referring too then... Adam held his leg with one hand and held his other up in agony after doing himself in the tackle... Game re-started with a drop ball that Carroll knocked back to our keeper...
  22. Not sure what people were watching???... Adam clearly went in recklessly and with intent and ended up doing himself an injury... Ref was right in front of it... Adam is the lucky one from what I've saw of it... Luck YC made nothing of it... Firstly it was Jay Spearing not Charlie Adam, I'm sure Adam would be chuffed you think he looks like gollum! Secondly, Cabaye was extremely lucky not to see red for that. I like his feisty approach but there are ways to go about it. That was just stupidity and will cost him games through suspension if he repeats that tackle again. Cabaye far from covered himself in glory, but I do remember thinking at the time that Spearing had flown in at such pace that he maybe caught Cabaye unaware. Then again it could be my black and white specs kicking in. That was my reaction at the time too. Having watched the incident again though, Cabaye was lucky no action was taken against him at the time (ie. a red card). Haven't seen it again since last night - he did catch him and it looked bad, but at the time I thought there was no way Cabaye could have premeditated it as Spearing came flying in so quickly from such a distance. Must be talking about a completely different incident... Was definitely Adam... In the centre circle... Adam went in to clatter him and ended up hurting himself leading to his substitution and the introduction of Gerrard... His teammates surrounded the ref looking for a card when it was Adam that was the lucky boy... The Spearing incident I can't recall so that in itself would suggest it was much to do about nothing...
