Aged well In defence of Pope yesterday by all accounts he played the game with a groin strain. So explains his kicking even worse than usual. Also him not rushing off his line for their goal perhaps.

In fairness that close to goal many would’ve made the wrong decision and maybe selfishly tried to score themselves. So as easy as it was sometimes that’s the great side of the game. If that makes sense.

To give some perspective on the debate. I don’t enjoy going to the derbies as much now we are stuck in the gods at the SOL. The FA Cup was great being back in the lower tier similar to how it was previously.

The logic being if we sell both players we’d get 70% back maybe. Though probably generous. That or he thinks Nick will be a success or recoup his full fee perhaps.

Agree with all of that except Joelinton. Overly harsh on him. We just rush him back and he’s hungry to help the team. Under better circumstances he could be managed fine. Regarding the noise, think Tonali gives us 12 more months. Tino possibly also but only due to injuries. Wouldn’t be worried about losing either. Tonali more so I suppose.

Yep. One of the reasons EH took him out the team was the fans were clearly losing patience with him. He found a place for him in midfield because we lost Bruno and needed some creativity from somewhere central. The fans complaining about him not starting as a No.9 or being misused as an 8 just like to re-write history

Any striker would be better with those two in the forward line with you. I’d look a great striker even This is why from day one I said he was not suited to us and his physical and speed limitations are why he’s not suited to the league IMO. He’s like a Teddy Sheringham type player. Probably not even as good as he was TBH.
