Pretty much nobody is as good as a teenager as Rooney was. Wickham for his age however is fucking class, if he stagnates or not is yet to be seen but he's hardly showing any signs that he will at 18 man.

Sturridge could probably go for anywhere betwean £12m & £40m tbh, this time in the last transfer window we would never have guessed we'd get £35m for Carroll.

I think the point is more that they actualy have intent to spend though, not if they are doing it wisely or not. Sunderland obviosly see them as good signings, and have thrown the money required to get them. It 'appears' we will be reluctant to spend the cash required to get the players we want/need. Of course "it is only June" (soz gdm) so it's pretty pointless me or anyone else complaining yet.

We may not even be after them anyway, the fact it's only June means a lot tbh I still don't expect us to shell out as much money as we 'should' mind.

Wickham is pretty much garenteed to be atleast a comfortable Premiership striker tbh, aslong as the extra £5m of so is very heavily incentive based then I cannot realy see it been THAT much of a risk. The rewards could be massive though.

Gardner is a decent player like, just not what you want to bring in after flogging your apparent superstar. All in all though they've hardly improved there starting XI, although Wickham could be an outstanding Premiership forward in a couple of years.

Rather sell Harper and keep Krul & Forster Do you think we could keep them both at the club though for another season and more? Unlike outfield players it's pretty hard to keep a goalkeeper happy in reserve, especialy when they've both had a taste of full first team football.

I'd take £5m for Forster like, as has been said it will be hard to keep both Krul and Forster at the club, so it'll come down to one of them in the end.
