West Ham have been massively unlucky like
-
Thiago and Henderson play as 'number 8s' mainly with Fabinho in the middle. I've said before I think Willock looks like he would make a better forward but his current role in the squad isn't reliant on his goals or creativity.
-
They've got the bagpipes out
-
He plays on the right or left of a midfield 3, that could be as an attacking midfielder but it's not really been Willock's role. He did scored more goals than Thiago did from there last season though, I'm not sure what that means like.
-
I'm happy it was chalked off like ha Get in
-
Forest players need to play to the whistle, they cannot just stop like that Think the ref bottled it a bit personally.
-
Stupid decision like
-
Good game like, glad Forest look decent.
-
Why would we play Murphy as a box to box midfielder?
-
Joelinton is one of the best ball winning midfielders in the league, in the air and on the ground. Bruno too is exceptional at regaining possession. Willock and Longstaff both press well, which isn't synonymous with winning the ball (although Willock's defensive stats all round are pretty good). I don't think Willock's role gets the best out of him atm but Howe prefers a midfield three and Willock works hard enough that he can slot in there. And I'm not defending his goal scoring numbers because they're shite, not really sure what your point is here though?
-
I mean you were saying Joelinton is our only pressing midfielder yesterday so I can see why you think little of Willock. You haven't been watching him.
-
Yeah I thought the same yesterday.
-
What was the craic with that offside on the halfway line? We were away on the break and they pulled it up early but it looked tight?
-
Basically this, aye. I feel like he shows glimpses of real quality, but the role Howe has him in isn't really suited to it, he's more there for his willingness to graft his cock off.

Newcastle United vs. Manchester City - 21/8/22 @ 4:30pm (Sky Sports)

In footy manager mode this morning, be interested to see something like this - hard working with pace on the break: For 90% of the game it would be this: However on the ball Joelinton would push forward and the midfielders would tuck in: -

Only weakness they have I suppose is their high line and that their fullbacks are actually wingers, Brighton were probably a decent warm-up for them tbh. I like the idea of Joeliton on the wing actually, Trippier diagonal to him could be one area we could get something. -
Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

If he puts that kind of work in off the ball week in week out though I cannot really criticise him too much tbh. He was absolutely shite on the ball like, but I think it was pretty clear his head had completely gone for some reason. -
Definitely agree with Gordon (I think he'll be a great player but not at the highest level) but Gallagher has everything going for him imo, he looks perfect for that B2B 'attacking mid' role.
-
I thought he was going to walk like As funny as it is to see him go full Joe now and then he genuinely looks like he would stick a nut on someone if they wind him up further. Most players tend to have a bit push and then awkwardly look to worm their way out of the situation but he just keeps going A better shithouse than Solly March could easily have bought a red.
-
I do quite like Cunt Carragher like
-
He is pretty limited though, someone on here described him as a 'kick and run merchant' which is canny harsh but a decent description. If you're paying that much for a forward you would expect them to be technically brilliant and/or have great end product.
-
I like Gordon but after the Maddison attempt it would be a canny let down if he's the big money signing like Lampard used him as some kind of false nine yesterday which was weird.
-
Sancho's only 22 and is playing for a side which made Paul Pogba look shite so I wouldn't take too much away from his form.
-
Him, Bruno, Wilson and Maxi were all absolutely shite, I wouldn't look into it too much like We'll have days like this. I do get the fears of his decline giving his age like, I wonder if we'll just phase him out of the side or use him like James Milner into his 50s as a utility midfielder.

If Brighton had someone like Jesus up front they would be ridiculous like.
