If that's a shoulder barge then the Age of Joelinton 2.0 is upon us. -

There's literally video and two stills showing him go through Barnes, he's already knocked him off his feet before he makes contact with the ball. You can make an argument that it's not strong enough to be a stone wall pen but he obviously goes through Barnes first like. -

How is that clean? It's a bad challenge. I think it falls into the 'you can make a sophist argument it's not a foul so VAR won't overturn it' category, but it's a piss take when there was 2 other penalty calls that the referee missed and VAR don't overturn, one of them (Chalobah) being ridiculous. -

Aye that image shows him going through the man? -
VAR generally won't change a decision if you could argue some vague case that it's correct, there's absolutely nothing to argue in favour of Chalobah here The speed in which they cleared it is suspect as fuck and the 'shielding the ball side on' excuse they gave is blatantly not true. No reason any of them should be involved in officiating a Premier League game again.

There's a bit of a difference between a shit call and VAR making an objectionably wrong call like Chaloba absolutely wiped Gordon out and VAR confirmed it as a non foul almost immediately. -

Feels a bit daft complaining too much, we were unbelievable first half, 2nd half we were never going to keep it up and they scored 2 cracking goals, and VAR completely fucked us. Both teams had chances to win it, it was hardly a horrible performance in the 2nd. -

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
Hanshithispantz replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Sunderland's keeper is probably some no mark shite cunt but he claimed absolutely everything. I don't think Ramsdale was bad like, but it's depressing watching the other teams keeper just run off his line and take the ball from a crowd of players and our keeper needs to be able to do it -
We just need to accept it was a shit buy and go for another RW in January like. Hopefully exploit our new (apparent) Brazil connections. Hopefully he can make use of his pace somehow in the future but his touch, passing and ability to beat a man is absolutely shite.

Not sure but probably, every mistake she makes gets blown massively out of proportion. She's one of the more entertaining womens pundits imo as she's not afraid to actually say something slightly controversial.
-
I am and I'm not ashamed of it. @joeyt she never went after him really, she was asked a shit question on some womens talk podcast and basically said "aye he's on the womens panel too much".
-
Aluko's a bit weird but I'm struggling to see what she's ever actually said that's so outrageous like She's a mildly opinionated TV personality at worst and has been chased off the air for it.

Early on Thiaw's pace saved us as he doesn't come off his line like Pope does, and for their first he may as well have been an outfield player, I have no idea what he was doing, he's too often anonymous when the ball comes into a crowded box. -

Pope is miles better like I wanted to try him but we're not making the best use of his ability on the ball and he absolutely frightens the shite out of me when balls come in or if an attacker gets in behind. -

He's 6'1 max like, he was miles shorter than Thiaw when they were stood next to eachother. -

why has he not been taking them for years? Nearly did it the other week. -
The whole system seems like that, in theory we'd zip the ball up the pitch quickly and have space in behind, either on the counter, or through movement around the box like Miggy used to take advantage of. I was all for it but it hasn't worked yet. Instead we just look like we really need a technical winger Tottenham were shite but they were firing it at Kudus and he was taking it every time.
-
I just think he was tired yesterday, he was very sloppy, which was annoying as I thought we were finding him better than we usually do.

Pope's been at fault for a few this season, although outside of the Marseille one (which I can sort of forgive given he usually sweeps up really well) I agree there hasn't been anything comical. The Paqueta one for example is a great strike that he should get to, but keepers get caught out by stuff like that now and then - trying to get 2 hands on it was weird. His limitation is that he cannot kick a ball and it's hard to quantify just how damaging that is. I want Ramsdale to be given a proper chance knowing his save percentages and collections aren't going to be anywhere near as good, but he cannot be throwing games away with shit like we saw yesterday too often. -
