  1. Doesn't work with every site (does with that link), but if you out a . after the 'co.uk' it shows the full thing. EDIT: probabky the wrong link like In general if people try that it works now and then
  2. Our club's branding is genuinely damaged when he does a pitchside interview with anyone over 5"6. Fuck him.
  3. He worked with him for 9 years before he came to us People are obsessed with finding 'an angle' because he lost a few games during the worst injury crisis I've seen from us. Cannot make subs Plays Dan Burn because he's his mate Brought his nephew in as a favour to his sibling Bringing in the Bournemouth DOF as a job for the boys Hates Lewis Hall Tactically inept, cannot see the gap between defence and midfield "I'd have brought on Ben Parkinson" Etc
  4. You'd think Howe had been caught bringing people in off the street the way people go on like. Proper drama queens.
  5. "Nepotism" Fucking hell man, hang Eddie for recomending a scout he's worked with before.
  6. It was a stone wall pen like, the rules are applied really randomly. Edit: Probably more stramge than random, like neesy says the 'clear and obvious' rule is why it wouldn't have been given. I'd be raging if it was the other way around though.
  7. 1 defeat in 6, 4 wins and a draw. How Eddie is still in a job is beyond me...
  8. I mean the same happened to Botman. I like Dubs but he's a lot slower off his line than Pope. That wasn't the issue last week like, Burn was genuinely rinsed, but any keeper quick off his line and adept at the sweeper role does better against Elanga today.
  9. Think the plan was for Bruno and Tonali to switch though wasn't it? With Willock/Tonali/Joelinton having the recovery pace to get into defensive positions. Bruno, Miley, Longstaff is a really slow midfield which is going to expose flaws even more. But it's not that I disagree with what people are saying when they point these things out, it's the way a handful of posters incessantly bang on about it whenever they get a chance, completely ignoring all context and exaggerating to the point of absurdity (such as ignoring that Burn drops into a back 3 when stating Livramento obviously should have been playing, and pretending he gets exposed by fast wingers week in week out).
  10. The "tiredness excuse" isn't gone though, because we're still obviously hamstrung by injuries and suspensions. People have been ignoring the obvious handicaps we have for months in order to try and sound like Mr Football Manager, but whatever Howe wants to try and do is going to be effected by the fact another injury or suspension and we're back to being absolutely fucked. The season is a write off, and it was nice beating Villa and a spark of hope for a final crack at the top 4, but realistically it's not going to happen. Barnes being back helps a lot, but it doesn't cure things. Bruno get's another yellow and who plays in midfield? Miley or Longstaff pull up in training and there's nobody to cover, we'll probably have to play Gordon or Almiron in the middle, leaving us lighter up top. We have basically no wiggle room and it's been like this for months, you don't think that will effect how we apply ourselves in training and on the pitch? People are literally praying for any example of something they've stated to crop up so they can confirm their biases though. "Look everybody, I've been telling you all that we need a proper six, the gap between midfield and defence is too big! Look everybody I'm a football manager!" "Hey everybody, Dan Burn is 6ft 7, Saka is going to roast him, and if he doesn't, I'll wait until next year when it does happen to let you all know how clever I am, because I know that Dan Burn is slow, and fast players will be able to run past him " That's what's annoying, ignoring the bigger picture and taking glee from the opportunity to tell everyone how a real football manager would do it. Howe has obviously made mistakes (leaving Burn on was mental), and he's clearly struggling to manage a massive injury hit squad, but this would happen with any manager.
  11. But I'm having to point put basic things because people are being so absurdly over the top about how bad Burn is, and how much he gets exposed by pacy wingers. Same as how Bailey terrorised our midfield and backline, but Burn has been highlighted as the problem. The ammount of space Ogbene was in at times wasn't fully down to Burn.
  12. But people are saying Ogbene was nulified when Burn went off pich which isn't true, there was a moment before this where he got down the byline and looked dangerous as well from memory. I said at halftime Burn needed to come off, he was having a shocking game, but Ogbene was still causing problems after.
  13. The "bread and butter for the big man" was tongue in cheek man We need to upgrade Burn, I'm completely in the "we need a world class LB/LCB" camp. Burn is in the side as we drop into a 3 though:
  14. look up the word "trajectory"
  15. Yeah, we were back in numbers and Tino was done by a clever ball over the back. Would have been a bread and butter header away for the big man.
  16. Pretty sure most of our players were back in the box like, I'll have to see it again.
  17. when have I ever tried to shutdown people down for pointing out the gap between defense and midfield? Burn has had a bad week. This is what happens though, a hypothetical flaw gets pointed out, we go months or years before it breaks, and then at that point the flaw gets blown up. Burn is obviously not the best fullback ever, but he's worked on our system well for about a year and a half. Thankfully most wingers are't Ogbene quick, and baily roasted our entire team, it wasn't just Burn. Ogbene nearly scored the winner with Tino on the pitch too by the way...

    Dan Burn

Like I don't want to be a dick, but people seem to have some mental way of thinking, where by the believe Howe is playing him out of some kind of LADS respect or something As if he just hasn't been playing the answer to all of our woes (Livramento) because he just cannot break the news to Burn. Burn's strength in the air to mark a player out of the game in transitions is completely fitting with how we play.
  19. Irritates the fuck out of me when a player blatantly slips in his own third and the ref automatically gives a defensive free kick.
  20. Chris Wood turning into a young Dimitar Birbatov was surreal like, I stayed away from the forum that day but I imagine it was a laugh like.

    Dan Burn

The only positive is that extremely tall people tend to die young.
  22. I'm not going to go into a full on rundown of every goal concede, but this is during a time when Trippier has looked like utter shite, we've been physically fucked, and poor defensively for about 3 month. My point is that people have been worrying about Burn being roasted by pace for about 18 month, but we've rarely let it happen. Now that he has (and I said at halftime he needed to come off), it's being made out like this is happening every week (not by you fwiw).
  23. Ah the answer to that is "well usually he has Joelinton helping out", as if it's Howe's tactical approach or something...
