Hanshithispantz replied to clintdempsey's topic in Football
I do spend more time looking at that avatar than I do reading a thread when sewelly posts like, probably the creepiest thing i've ever seen. -
Yep, totalling a £22m deal. [/reusejoke] I laughed like [/shame]

If we do get SWP I will be fucking fuming, better player than Routlege for sure but I hate the bloke. -

Hopefully theres a clause to recall him if needs be, if Barton and/or Tiote get injured/suspended we'll be seriously lacking in options both out wide and through the middle until Ben Arfa returns. -

Bit out the blue like Seems quite a strange move tbh so surely we have someone else lined up? For the last few years now we've done most of our buisness on the sly so maybe thats the case here too, Bentley, Beckham and Bothroyd we're all just smoke screens for the impending anouncement of Lionel Messi on a 5 1/5 year deal. -
There gerrin Luis Suarez, man.
-
Read the "Jose Enrique is GONE!" bit first there, fucking shit me sell.

Good news, if he's good enough for Bobby he's good enough for Pardrew.
-
Fair judgement there.

Wouldn't say twice the player like, although Taylor hasn't developed into the "future England captain" people were banging onabout when he was 21 he isn't as bad as some people make out, was good last year before he got himself injured but hasn't realy had much of a chance this year. As for Willo i'd just like to see him beef up a bit, his physical presence hasn't exactly become a problem but a bit more muscle wouldn't hurt.

Newcastle United v Tottenham Hotspur Saturday 22nd January 3pm

I'd be tempted to play Gosling (obviosly I dont know exactly how fit he is like), even if it's only for 60-70 minutes. Withought seeing a great deal of him i've gleamed he's decent defensively, and although Guthrie was good on Sunday i'm shitting mesel he sticks in another WBA style lazy/cowardly performance. -

He's hardly wasted at CB when he's clearly the best CB we've had at the club by a country mile in fucking years -
Andy Carroll has had the most shots in the league, he's hardly been short of chances. I realy hope this thread evades the eyes of the Mackems like, they'll have a field day.

I don't know how much they'd let Hernandez go for, I just know that they would be a lot less reluctant to let him go than we would be (£20 million was just a figure plucked from another post like). VDV to Tottenham for £8 million is just one example, if roles were reversed do you realy think Tottenham would have let VDV go to Madrid for the same price? Of course it's all just speculation anyway like.

Eh? He's still young, English and scoring freely. Rightly or wrongly, that guarantees a silly price tag. If he was at a club with a better pool of talent we'd be challenging for Europe and still wouldn't be selling him, let alone for less. It's common sense and it happens all the time, a clubs "prized asset" will allways have an inflated price tag and they will be reluctant to sell for anything other than a silly fee due to his imprortance to the team. If Carroll was at Manchester United there is absolutely no way they would turn down 20 million for him You're f***ing nuts, tbh. I was going to debate the point further but can't be arsed. There is no point, clubs will hold on for a silly fee to keep there prized asset and Man United would sell Andy Carroll if someone stumped up £20 million. City's recent stupidity in the market seems to have warped folks perspective of a players worth massivly tbh

He's 22 and the best striker in the league, less than £30m would be nowt short of a sick joke. Best striker in the league? f***ing hell... He isn't even the most "in form" striker in the league man. Who is? And don't give me any rubbish about Tevez or Berbatov.

I've allways wanted to see Jonas on the right, managers just seem reluctant to play him there for whatever reason though
