Fucking Townsend man, proper cock softener if he's the end of this bizarre cycle of replacing Ben Arfa.
-
I'm still struggling to see what Thauvin has actually done wrong?
-
If the King of Bantz Rob Elliott thinks you're a top lad you're probably Himmler.
-
It doesn't make sense to completely marginalise players, I don't know why managers do it. It was one of Pardew's biggest shit house moves. Since Ben Arfa was given away we've went 1.5 years without ever giving his replacements a proper chance. Decided they weren't good enough early on and were straight up for moving onto the next guy. Unless we're willing to pay £25m for someone (which we should have) I don't know what we're expecting.

He's s***. Besides Aarons name a winger in our team who is better than him, and then name an alternative suggestion who would fit under Ashley's budget ? Thauvin could easily be better if given a chance. I'm not sure why we should even assume he's any good, he's been as much a failure in this league over the past few seasons as Thauvin has this season. One half decent half season for QPR back in 2013 and we're supposed to assume he's automatically going to be better than what we have?, why? Much though I would like to have seen Thauvin more, and would like to think he could improve, I can't really blame McClaren for not playing him. When he's started he's generally given the ball away far too easily. Add to that that he clearly doesn't relish the pace of the English game and it's pretty hard to argue he should be persisted with. I think persisted with is the wrong phrase, but in any case the argument is pretty easy when instead we're playing this: ----------------------------------- Sissoko Anita Colback Wijnaldum De Jong Cisse ----------------------------------- Not once since Nowrich did he even try to break up that midfield and try something new.

Newcastle United vs West Ham United - 16/01/16 @ 3pm (No TV)

There's like what, 17 games to go? If we win 6 of them we'll stay up. Win or lose the next game it still shouldn't be that hard of a job for a club like us to sort out (I kna, I kna) Just have to hope Jonjo sticks in and Saivet isn't total shite. -

It's mandatory that we turn up and play this game. -
Exactly, only reason for being in the worst team is because relative to his potential he did not perform well last season, but I can bet a lot on that he wasn't one of the worst players in Ligue 1 last season. I think Thauvin should get good run of games on the left before he is judged. One off matches and 5 minutes here and there is never going to help him settle. In theory that's a good idea but in our present state we don't really have the luxury of continuously playing a guy while he's playing poorly Really? Yes. Not like we're getting bummed every week now. Most of our players have been performing decently for the last seven games or so bar a few obvious exceptions Depends on your definition of "decent" I suppose. We're quite rightly second bottom because most of them have been rubbish for the vast majority of the season. If we look at the players in the part of the field Thauvin would play in, Sissoko and Wijnaldum are in decent form and our two best players so they won't be dropped, Perez is in poor form but is probably our third best player usually so don't see where we're going to give him an extended run in the team People don't want Wijnaldum on the left though, and have been calling for Thauvin to play there for months. Other than Nowrich he's been pretty bad out there. It's not even like Thauvin has been getting 30-35 minutes in games either, it's 10 minutes at the end here and there and then abused to the point where he's faking an injury.
-
YESSS He's a perfect 10, but he wears a 12.
-
The irony being that he won us a point yesterday like.
-
I wish we'd stuck with Plan A tbh.
-
Even when healthy, he's not looked an impressive player for years. I'd much rather start Mitrovic and struggle through his learning process than bring back Carroll. Me too, but Carroll's main issue is his fitness and not his actual ability, it's always going to be difficult for players to find form when they're sidelined most of the season. I'm speaking in hypotheticals anyway, not even sure why
-
That's purely down to his injuries like, if he can keep fit he walks into our side. I think Colback is utter cack.
-
Shanghai Shenhua by the looks of things.
-
Moves forwards with the ball quickly, doesn't look scared to take people on and will actually attempt to put the ball around/through/over players. It's nothing ground breaking but I don't think it's any exaggeration to say that, in most of those situations, Colback dallies on the ball before playing the pass he should have made 4 seconds ago/turns and gives it to a defender/isn't even on the ball as he's standing next to their strikers for some reason.
-
Have honestly never seen Colback do any of that.
-
Hopefully we can start experimenting with our midfield a bit now, switch the likes of Shelvey, Sissoko, Thauvin, De Jong, Wiljnaldum, Perez around a bit and see what fits. If Saivet is a beast then you pretty much disregard every system we've been trying for the past 6 months.
-
 I remember that, it's a brilliant article like. The lad was spot on about Pardew as well.
-
Yesterday was decent after a bit of a break, good year all told after a horrible start. Daft few quid on West Brom/Everton @ 60/1. Like Watford, Stoke, Arsenal and Leicester odds but I'm not sure.
-
Think he's more of a Kevin Davies than an Alan Shearer like, he'll benefit from us creating more but he really needs someone close to him more than anything imo. (Shearer did too tbf)
-
Lukaku was about 12 though wasn't he? Still though he was an early bloomer but has only really come into his own this season in the prem (not that he's been bad previously like).

If we're going to play Riv then we may as well be playing Perez as an actual striker first. -
Took bollocks like. Proper stepped up.
-
We're still like a dozen players short or something too
