Honestly the open training sessions were some of my best days out as a kid, getting autographs and photos with the players, it's a massive shame how any sort of connection between players and fans has been lost. Used to love going down to Maiden Castle as a kid. I Used to take my premier league sticker book down with me and get the players to sign their stickers. Loved it.

Given our start I'll be very surprised if they sell Perez personally. They can't be oblivious to the threat of relegation and selling Perez for anything other than stupid money would be a step Rotterdam towards going down. I think it's safe to say, if an offer of £17M+ comes in for this lad, he'll be away. It'll go a long way towards balancing the books up from our £50M summer outlay. We'll be losing our best player though. What did Charnley say when we were looking for a new manager, it was summit like "if we sell a player, the manager and the fans will have to trust us to replace the player sold, even if it doesn't happen in the window in which the player is sold in". Obviously that's not word for word but it was summit like that.

I think we'd all agree we need to sign a left back but that probably won't happen until we shift either Dummett or Haidara out and that probably won't happen until the summer.

That first sentence describes Dummett to a tee. The only thing Haidara has over him is that he can run with the ball which relieves pressure. Dummett's distribution is even worse, and his mistakes tend to keep us under pressure as a result. Also for a relatively big man he's so f***ing weak going out to meet wide players. Not keen on him at LB at all. This^. Nee way Dummett is better than Haidara. He just isn't.

Season over for the mackems, they've beat us, so that's it. They'll accept whatever shit their team serve up now this season and that is why they'll always be in and around the bottom of the league. They are so small time it is unreal. Long may it continue.

I know it's still early days for this lad but he hasn't really shown anything yet which is worthy of a mention. The £12/13/14 million (whatever it was) could have been much better spend on an area of the team where we're desperate - A (Commanding) Centre half. Not writing the lad off yet though, that would just be stupid.

Opposite for me, I'd become numb and angry at our own club. Today I feel robbed and gutted. I see your point but the way we have surrendered this derby in the past has annoyed me more than anything else, especially based on how shit the mackems have been in each of the seasons they've beat us. Today we lost because of the ref, simple as that, so I'm not as pissed off as i have been in recent years. Basically it was took out of our hands.
