The best Right back we've had at Newcastle in all the time I've been going to the matches (34 years). He was the most important signing this club has ever made, just after the takeover. In January 2022 he was the player that raised the standard of the squad. A proper leader on and off the field.

Its all a fitness question with him. If he can stay fit hes a very useful play, the problem is (as we all know) he gets injured a lot and it takes him weeks/months to find form again, before he inevitably gets injured again and the cycle begins again. But well done tonight to him. Offered us a lot of energy, especially in the 1st half. Tired in the 2nd half and should have gone off instead of Ramsey.
