  1. Aye. Been very poor. Doesn't even appear to be a player who looks to have a speciality that you could see him using if he improved. He seems to be astoundingly mediocre at all the attributes needed to be a top midfielder or at least has been this season. He looks like a weaker, slower-footed version of the fella in your avatar. Better ability on the ball, obvioiusly, but needs far too much time on it. Just goes to show, Big Carlo signing Ramires, SAF bringing in Bebe; they're all human. Ramires has been playing much better of late. Sure, still nowhere near being worth the price that was paid for him, but to say he's been one of the worst in the Premiership when there have been players like Perch is ridiculous.
  2. £5.3 million according to Sky. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6817231,00.html
  3. I had Peterborough, Leyton Orient and Huddersfield in one treble and Burnley, Wycombe and AFC Wimbledon in another. The former won and every team lost in the second bet. £45 profit overall.
  4. FWIW, Barca had a penalty decision turned down at 0-0, which was a penalty.
  5. Aye, looks rank like. Both the Argie tops are lush though, might get one/both to add to my collection.
  6. We should've gone in ahead at half time really, but then when we went down to 10 men we managed to withstand a decent spell of pressure pretty well. Good tactical change from Pardew as well. Tiote, Best and Willo were probably our top performers today for me, just a shame Best couldn't bag a goal. Harper really needs to learn how to kick, like.
  7. It was at 3pm though EDIT: Either way, it's a long time.

Tbf, at the moment if I got married I'd let the whole first XI go through her. EDIT: And Pards, probably wouldn't have a choice with that one though.
  9. I wish I was as wise as they are.
  10. I can't believe a few people have actually looked at this negatively, like.
  11. Why? More chance of him being sold in summer, so he could've had a bigger moan. He can't really complain about him signing a new deal, poor lad.

You could have expected someone to perform, but they've improved so much that they're most improved, whereas you may not have expected someone to cut it in the PL but they've played pretty well so they're an unexpected performer, but perhaps haven't improved as much as someone else, so they are different. It's a fine line though I guess.

Most unexpected performer? (i.e. Who you didn't think would be much use but has been.) Best, Leon.
  14. Just like we will pay £6mill for a 30-year old. Other areas of the team need strengthening more than CM as well.
  15. Ah right, I thought you meant the Puma deal. Yea, you could well be right about the shirt just being for one season.
  16. Ah fair enough, there is still no saying though that with the right guidance he would have become better than Ronaldo, although the chances are he'd be a better player than he currently is. The amount Ronaldo improved at Man Utd though was in the extremes. A lot of really talented youngsters won't come on that much, regardless of where they're at. Back to the original debate of whether or not he should play in the AM role, that depends entirely on the players that we sign. Personally, I prefer 2 up front, but we'd need 2 strikers capable of doing that job very well. I think he'd probably be most effective playing from the right, with licence to roam and drift in, but then that'd mean moving Barton and rearranging the centre of midfield, so I'm not sure that's really plausible.
