  1. Sorry, got confused here. Loco doesn’t show the game so ignore me. If you want to enjoy the match day, and we are at home, without going into the ground, to actually watch the game my friends often go to terrace bar and say it’s decent. Strawberry etc should be decent if it’s on tv.
  2. All the above still applies I think. It is a case of take your pick and you can’t go wrong. The Hotspur is decent but usually busy. Bar Loco is good, also busy, but plenty of room outside so you’re not rammed in.
  3. Depends what you’re looking for: best atmosphere/most mental will likely be wonderbar crow’s nest has big screens and will be busy Shark Bar has a lot of screens, a lot of them side by side (pet hate of mine) Strawberry, Rosie’s, Three Bulls etc for more traditional pubs Liberty Rooms looks decent but need tickets Bar 52 for sports bar The Junction - average bar but good screens and tend to have a lot of staff on for quick service Personally, barring a miracle and getting a ticket, I’ll be heading to The Riverside which is a former nightclub turned music venue. Hoping it will have a fanzone atmosphere but never been in there for football before. Hope that helps.

Always thought it would be best to keep the pond, purely from an aesthetic point of view. Build a new stadium down the side towards Barrak Road. Turn the existing ground into a park area and have an agreement that the club will maintain all the park areas around the stadium. The city gets a nice park and we get a new stadium. Win win!
  5. I haven't got a ticket but just think a sense of perspective is needed here. At no point did anyone say an ST guarantees you priority for cup final tickets. If you're P4 or 5, you've either got less than 25 loyalty points or went to less than 3 carabao cup games. There could be any reason for that but also you have had chance to move yourself higher up the priority list. There are many people in P6 who gave up their STs due to Mike Ashley and haven't been able to get them back. Remember the scramble for the few STs they did release in the summer. People who gave up their tickets knew this was the risk but decided to do it anyway. But all this moaning that 'I'm in p4 and I'm furious that someone in p6 got a ticket' isn't right. For starters, if the club handled it differently, it would lock out any non ST holders from attending cup finals, possibly ever again. Look at Liverpool's way of distributing tickets, they give members almost equal chance as ST holders because they know they have to keep as many people involved as possible. Secondly, there's fans in p6 and p7 that have done the hard yards, likely much more than those in p4 and p5. They've stood at the likes of Bolton watching us get smashed 5-1 and turned up again next week to do it all again. We should just be happy for those who have tickets and those of us who don't, find a pub with your mates and be glad you can experience us (hopefully) winning a trophy at long last. If you don't, your experience a week on Sunday could feel very hollow.
  6. What’s people’s thoughts on the Riverside to watch the game? Have they done anything indoors for the World Cup before?
  7. I know people who gave up STs they've had since the 1990s with almost 300 loyalty points when Bruce arrived who are in pot 6. Some of the loyalest fans we have, just in case it makes you feel any better about who is getting a chance at tickets.

Any idea why the square of red (amongst the green) isn't included? If that square, which on google maps looks like a combination of trees, car parks and steps to the metro, was included we'd have a decent chunk of land to use.
  9. We’re in a similar position. Anarchy Brewery might be best option but it’s obvs out of town. If we win I’d want to be outside SJP.
  10. My worst seats are the ones directly square on to the goal line, particularly low down. Shite view of the goal nearest to you, still far away from the other end. But these tickets are in category 2! Save your money and sit in the cheap seats.
  11. Also thought they’d be selling some overpriced packages for the Bamburgh suite. hopefully they’ll shift the Wembley tickets and then announce a big screen in the ground.
  12. I presume it's because pot 4 is only a ballot because they cannot guarantee everyone a ticket. If you miss out in pot 4 ballot it will be because we've sold out our allocation and there will be no tickets for pot 5. Probably me being pessimistic as I'm in pot 6.
  13. Any ideas on how to get tickets for Shearer’s?
  14. Probably just to guard against the unlikely situation that some ST holders don't take up their tickets. Easier to plan it all out under one communication in case there's a few left over.
  15. Fuuuck, all the years of watching shite home and away and not to be there if we do finally win something is going to be hard.
  16. Jumping the gun a bit, for people unable to get tickets for the final, where is best to be, stay in Newcastle or travel to London? Conflicted on this. Happy to drive to London and have a refundable hotel booked but concerned we get dispersed across the city and end up in any old pub to watch it.
  17. I went to Florida print last week for this and they've shut down. I'll check out the one of Clayton Street when I get chance.
  18. Agree 100%. if we’re playing Chelsea, I’m not worried about Mount or Sterling (this season) starting for them. They’re very average. Foden should definitely be in the team. On the positive side, Luke Shaw has been better than I expected in the two games so far.

Me too, made worse by some fans clapping Nobby as he went to take a corner and other fans taking exception at this. Then Nobby whipped it in and Villa scored. There was plenty of handbags going on after that!
  20. I came from a very working class background, but back in those days me and my brother would have every kit, goalie tops, training kit, the lot. Don’t know how my mam and dad afforded it. If my kids wanted the same now we’d be bankrupt!
  21. Asics green with thin blue stripes
  22. They did this to me last year. The tracking from the courier stopped showing and I thought it had been lost. However, when I followed up with Castore they issued a refund quickly. You shouldn't have to go through all this though.
