The two things are completely separate IMO. You can call out a bad decision/performance when you see it without being disrespectful. Otherwise, should we all sit here sharing pleasantries after seeing us concede 4 at home to Luton?
-
Yes, but you can’t say anything negative because you can’t play as well as they do.

This is a Newcastle forum, of course Howe’s management is going to be discussed.

Loved the ‘redefine fashion’ title on the email

Just for my perspective, it's a mixture of disappointment/negative emotions like mentioned above, with holding off other plans in case I get a ticket (which was much easier for me last year), plus this increasing feeling of being on the periphery of it all (as a former ST holder) which just makes me think fuck it. That said, I'm regretting a bit not putting in recently so will be entering for Bournemouth.

Asics shirts were class designs, better than the NTL era IMO.

It was a strange night the semi-final last year. I don't know if fans just expected to go through or what but it was really flat. It happens now and again, same for Dortmund this year. Appreciate that it was a comparable fixture but you are comparing Boro at their best vs us at our worst. Not making any excuses for us BTW, it was shit.
-
And let’s see what he achieves with us in the meantime eh?
-
Come off it, these are tickets put up for sale randomly by season ticket holders the day of the game. It’s not indicative of demand. I’m 2/10 in the ballot this year which is a more realistic assessment of how many people want tickets.
-
Yeah, I was there too. Been in most parts of the ground since the takeover and that was only beaten by the strawberry corner in terms of my experience and enjoyment. They really need to make a lot more safe standing in the ground.

Just a moment to recognise that touch for the chance he messed up at the end. It was like prime Tino.
-
Agree 100%. Miggy’s been a great servant and still an impactful player for us but he’ll be a squad player rather than a regular starter in the next year or two.
-
Growing in confidence with every game. His first touch is immense, so great to see a player come through with such potential.

I went to the club shop yesterday to get Bruno on the back of my daughter’s shirt that she’s getting for Christmas. They couldn’t do it because they had no letter ‘o’ left. The guy showed me the list of names available, top of the list was Dummett. Not quite the same mate ?

After the league cup final, I really wished I'd travelled to London, even without a ticket. Being in Newcastle was OK, just didn't have the build up/atmosphere I was expecting. It kind of felt like a regular match day watching in a pub.

I wonder if they'll announce the stop of the checks (if they were to happen) or if it will happen quietly behind the scenes

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Vedder replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
I’m sorry, what should they not do? One of ours got stabbed in the back walking home with two friends. It’s the most cowardly of your fans that you should be looking at. If that happened in Newcastle two games in a row we’d be kicked out of Europe for a few years. -
You do realise Barca are the current champions of Spain? They’ve hardly done a Man Utd but are dodgy as fuck admittedly.
-
Whatever the reason, it’s clear that there are gaps and the atmosphere is worse this season than before. I also think it’s fair to say that the people running the club only have a very corporate view of the game. They need fans to voice opinions on how to improve the match going experience. We’re often told how great we are as a fan base but with no action we’ll be as shite as most other clubs in the league.
-
I would add to any arguments put forward to improve the atmosphere that it's in the club's commercial interest to find solutions to this problem. Our fanbase and atmosphere, for all its problems, are still major assets in attracting new fans. So give us a massive standing/signing section and let ST holders move/members choose their own seats. Fans are happier, atmosphere is better, more new fans attracted...everyone wins! Only downside is if we have enough fans to fill up these new sections. I was surprised to hear only 5k wanted to move to the Strawberry corner at the start of this season.
-
Another point regarding the atmosphere is that the new owners didn’t do enough/anything to engage the fans who gave up their season ticket to boycott Ashley. These are typically the more militant, noisy fans. Not that the atmosphere was always brilliant before, I remember complaints even when we doing well under Sir Bobby.
-
Not creating an excuse for the atmosphere, but I was sat in lower Milburn towards the Leazes and I couldn't hear the strawberry corner at all. This is likely because of that drum of the away fans and I think it played a part in songs not travelling around the ground. I was grateful for the few people around me trying to get behind the team but atmosphere was generally poor I have to say.

I did hear well before the Adidas deal was announced that there was a break clause after 3 years in Castore's contract with us.

Is there a Champions league font for the third shirt?

£60 for level 7 seats is no joke. Literally the price of success!
