Brentford vs. Newcastle United: 26/02/2022 @ 3pm (No UK TV)

Why would Shelvey get dropped at the moment? -
If he can improve his finishing and add a few goals god what a player we have
-
I just don’t see him being here next season. Clearly has the right attitude but he hasn’t proved he can finish in his time here and doesn’t create enough.
-
His final ball and decision making in key situations is poor more often than not
-
Spot on. The calmness on the ball at the back is wonderful to see.

I think he’ll get a goal eventually but he needs it one for confidence. Ian Wright did some good analysis of him on MOTD and to be fair he could be doing better in certain situations holding the ball up etc but our balls into him were generally pants today. Brentford feels like an ideal match for him to score for some reason. -
As great as he’s been I’d still like to see him offer more going forwards. Cant hit a barn door
-
That was the original prediction which appears to have been re-adjusted to “he might make a few of the last fixtures” before the end of the season. I don’t think he’s back before April at the earliest but if he can get a run of 6-8 games that’s massive.
-
If Wilson returns for a decent run of fixtures I’ll have absolutely no worries
-
If this lad goes on another scoring run for us it will be huge
-
Spot on. The results today from Burnley and Watford shows anything can happen but I like our resilience and defence now and we’re doing ok with major names missing. I think Bruno G will eventually come in and improve our general play even more.

They will be crapping themselves for this. Hopefully ASM fit -
Both are definitely beatable. Brentford will be shitting themselves
-
Honeymoon period well over for Gerrard. Everton losing, Brentford in freefall Its getting interesting now
-
Exactly, honestly some of the hindsight nonsense that gets spouted on here

Probably true but I think the lad just needs a goal for confidence. He’s still getting used to playing with us and vice versa. Ofcourse he can do better but he’s playing his part in getting results. -

Giver over man, he’s moved from a team where the whole focus was around him with balls in. It’s not like he’s missed a hatful of chances . Sure he’s low on confidence but he’s working his bollocks off and providing a focal point. He’ll get a goal or two eventually. -

Yeah today won’t decide whether we stay up or go down (Brentford, Norwich, Burnley away + home matches) and anything is a bonus points wise If he misses Brentford away that’s a real bugger -
A point would be huge
-
Anyone know when Tv dates are released for April? A mate is coming up for Wolves match which is currently 3pm, just checking if anyone knows when BT, sky announce new times/dates? Thanks
-
As a member not a season ticket holder I wonder how many tickets will be made available for home matches next season
-
3-4. Losing Trippier for a long period would be a disaster at this stage (what with Wilson too) and I do still worry about us scoring goals. But we’ve got great spirit, St James is back to being a really difficult place to visit and we can grind out wins.
