  1. Basically we can deduce that Pardew has no say or idea what's about to happen to the squad of players he works with?
  2. I just hope we see in the next two home games a positive approach and really have a go at West Ham and Fulham. I'm not holding my breath but if he reverts to the same negative tactics we've seen before then it'll show he's learnt nothing and will confirm what many of us already think. Desperate to see some positive changes otherwise he's only inviting on the inevitable shit storm that will come his way.
  3. I'm sorry but the whole "we're getting a game plan together for the last week of the window".......we've heard it all before endless times and it very rarely if ever amounts to anything. We then have Pardew saying "this is a strong squad" once signings dont come in. Talk is cheap, action is what is needed.
  4. Something clearly happened behind the scenes but I find the whole "his heads been turned" so he doesn't have his head in the game a load of bollocks. Maybe he refused to play? Either way it was used as an excuse for the performance which wasn't good. Pardew spent the whole summer saying how well Cabaye was dealing with speculation and praising him then suddenly he couldn't play him because he'd had sme kind of mental breakdown after the Arsenal bid
  5. I hope so mate but when was the last time we actually turned in a decent performance at home? Cisse bagging a last second winner doesn't constitute a proper performance. I hope we start to show what he's talked about over pre season but im not optimistic. I guess the proof will be in the pudding over the next two home games but the signs weren't good at City were they.
  6. Diame totally bossed things lat season at St James. We were also utter pants too mind.
  7. I don't see what's wrong with measuring ourselves against West Ham and Fulham either. The problem is our display on Monday was utterly inept, we still have a weak squad, confidence is a major factor and the pressure going into West Ham already feels like a game towards the end of the season not the 2nd game. West Ham and Fulham have both strengthened and will be coming here confident of getting something. I'm not saying we we won't or can't win but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see two poor results.
  8. Is Marveaux fit? Needs to play in Saturday
  9. A genuinely attacking midfielder would help both Sissoko and Tiote, it would help re-define their roles.
  10. The "Mike should be praised for his bravery" type quotes are the ones that really get me
  11. I gave up listening to him ages ago. Constantly changing what he says depending on the situation regarding players and league ambition. Ranging from "we desperately need new players" to "this squad is fantastic" or "this squad should be pushing to challenge for the top four" then a contradiction blathering on about how we can't compete with sovereign states and trying desperately to lower expectations. He's being hung out to dry no doubt but he seals his own fate these days in my eyes.
  12. They spent f*** all last summer though and we've had the new prem deal money. Just a scandalous lack of ambition. Long for the day when this lot have cleared off. Totally joyless experience Newcstle under Ashley.
  13. I've given up even trying to work out what this lot is doing, utter car crash of an operation. Pissing about, cocking up transfer windows, annoying the fans and falling behind most teams in the prem is the norm for us now. What an utter waste of time.

    Paul Dummett

He was the only person I remember seeing put in a fucking tackle
  15. To think there'll actually be a day when this regime finally leaves town. We'll all ask, "well what was the point of all that?"
  16. The elastic is about to snap I think
  17. Seems pretty convincing that he'll be away in the last few days of the window.

    Loïc Remy

Should we not have bothered loaning him because he may be injured for a month, like? Yes, we should have got another striker in by now, but the club can't exactly be blamed for an injury sustained when he was at a different team. The club can't be blamed for Remy's injury but it absolutely deserves criticism going into the start of the season under prepared again. There does also seem to be this idea with a lot of teams that they'll wait until the end of the window to d business rather than the start of the actual season which is fool hardy in most cases. Mind we usually buck that trend and end up signing nobody anyway,
  19. I've just come to the conclusion and acceptance that we'll sign nobody, I mean its pretty much the norm for the summer anyway isn't it. Good to se old JFK is coming through after shooting his mouth off in live radio bigging himself up Jesus wept
  20. Yeah what a crock of shit this whole thing is. Again we've got the manager pretty much advertising a top player for sale and again mentioning "oh and it might be too late to get a replacement in" Just the same thing happening on a loop. As it happens I'm not actually that fussed about Cabaye, I think there's more hype than substance there in that he hasn't been consistent enough in part because he probably wants away. The fact is if he is sold we won't bring in a replacement. Same old shit.
  21. Agree with that, the very fact that JFK has been brought in says it all.
