  1. It’ll be very interesting to see what happens next summer. I hope he cements his position in the team and squad but equally wouldn’t be that surprised if he left and was replaced.

    Dan Burn

Such an important player for us. Can imagine he’s brilliant around the training ground and in the dressing room. Plus it must give other players confidence going out onto the pitch with that warrior on your side.
  3. I think we might be priced out if the likes of City do go in for him but he’d be an excellent signing if we can get him. I think it’s more likely he moves next summer.
  4. Mental isn’t it and just highlights what a complete knacker Bruce was. With Schar and Botman at the back the composure on the ball is just immense. Same goes I guess for Trippier and Burn. The way Botman and Schar spray balls and deliver quick incisive passing from the back is great to watch and amazingly effective for our play.
  5. Left wing/forward, kind of player that makes sense position wise but hard to know any truth in the story. Isak gives us a legitimate alternative option across the front 3 which will force ASM to up his game (and Miggy to maintain his). Can still see us adding some firepower if the right deal is there to be had just might be someone leftfield.
  6. What’s the punishment for this if found guilty? I mean over 200 ffs?
  7. Im sure I heard a Spanish football reporter who’d been interviewed saying he’s flexible and can play across the front 3. Either way he’s in good hands with Howe coaching wise and we’ll get the best out of him. He gives us so many options. Bring Wilson off at 70 and move him inside if he starts right or left or bring him on off the bench. He’ll be great away from home with his lace too. The thing is if Miggy keeps playing the way he is and Isak starts smashing it ASM is going to have to work hard to get back into this side which is what you want. It’s ridiculous but he will be like a new signing ?
  8. I know what you mean but I think he’s pretty adaptable position wise even if he’s different to what we already have. I think he’d be a tremendous signing and Howe would be able to coach him massively to our style too and he’d give us that player to really open teams up at home too.
  9. Agree with this and it’s ironic that our right side is now our strongest at present. Let’s see how he does when fit and with more space to opposite but if he struggles rest of the season I can see us signing a legitimate alternative (maybe Isak is that already) and I’m not sure how ASM responds to that.
  10. I agree I think we need some more firepower to open teams up and creativity to take the pressure off Bruno and give more bench impact. I agree with people about a RB coming in who can cover for Trippier at least til end of the season though I’d say left back is more pressing (but will likely be addressed in summer).
  11. Some prick behind me in the Gallowgate hurling abuse at him. Got told to shut by a few, moron.
  12. I would hazard a guess that they are managing his injury and involvement with the squad expertly.
  13. Can’t stand him. Defo some lasting memories from that elbow at Stamford bridge at the end there.
  14. This, he’s on the bench too likely able to give 25-30 mins I needed
  15. Both factors here are key ? Chelsea have some very experienced players but they aren’t playing as a unit and have looked shaky at the back. The atmosphere tonight can certainly take advantage of their shakiness.
  16. If it’s a bug or virus it’s a bit different to an injury. He’s either fit enough to compete or not, I don’t think there’s any greater risk to causing injury. If he feels well enough to play he’ll play imo.
  17. I agree, I’m not sure Saint did enough last night to start Saturday but we’ll see. He’d probably do better with all the starters. My guess is a midfield of Longstaff, Bruno, Willock, with Joelinton left of a front 3.
  18. Dreadful match but glad to have got through. Great seeing lots of young kids there able to see the team play but in all honesty it felt more like a pre-season match with zero atmosphere. Weird mix of kids with parents, young charvers trying to act hard and lots of people seemingly more interested in purchasing pop and pies. The number of times I stood up with people coming and going in my row ?‍♂️ Atmosphere picked up a bit second half and the subs made a difference but we just struggled to find anything that clinical in the final 3rd. Pope class in the shoot out, roll on the draw tonight.
  19. Looking forward to going to this and Chelsea after covid knackered my Everton attendance.
  20. If you’re a defence and you have to mark him AND have Miggy on the other side in this form, this the scenario I’ve always wanted to see.
  21. Just seeing him, Bruno, Saint all interlinking was great to see. I can see him and Bruno working well together with Shelvey controlling things allowing Bruno to move further forwards.
  22. I wonder how much we can spend in Jan within FFP, anyone got an idea on the amount?
  23. January is going to be really interesting now ?
