  1. Well done to the lass grinding that one out against a horrible team. We should’ve been up by 2-0 at halftime really. Murphy is so shite ?
  2. Start strong and take a lead, make changes later on it seems ?
  3. Very, gutted I can’t go (covid). I’ve had about the strongest result possible on day 5 ffs ?
  4. Tight game, will be confident if we score first but without some of our flair it’ll be more difficult. Crowd will be massive tonight.
  5. I don’t really get the angle currently that we are operating on another level to everyone else. Sure we can spend more than some but FFP ensures that we need to grow our revenue before we can really spend big. It’s not like we can spend whatever we want on the squad right now and that’s what’s being insinuated and what other fans and managers are concerned about. Nobody really gives a shit that we can spend money on the academy or a new training ground, it’s signing the best players that puts the shits up people.
  6. Could be vital to free up Bruno for creativity given Isak and Saint are both going to be out for a bit
  7. Really hope I can bloody go. All rides on a lateral flow tomorrow
  8. Thanks for the reminder, just got one for £20
  9. I don’t see how one game should have that much of a physical impact on someone but he’s clearly got a very tricky hamstring that needs managing though. I work as a physio but working with recreational athletes as opposed to elite performers and they can be a nightmare or manage.
  10. I think that’s probably a bit harsh given the impact he can have and what he’s done but I take your point. We're moving away thankfully from having to rely completely on individuals but the club won’t be able to ignore his injury record. I’d be happy if he stayed and we had suitable other options available which I think will be addressed in Jan and particularly next summer.
  11. The one time he looked clinical in the box ? Can’t hit a barn door most of the time
  12. We all know he’s not an out and out striker as has been proved but considering he’s played “forward” you’d expect better finishing from him. Colossal physical presence but the finishing aspect is definitely a weak point of his game.
  13. They're definitely a lot tougher and have better leadership with Coady at the back. There’s more scrappers but they aren’t exactly prolific going forwards. As has been mentioned above the crowd and getting an early goal will be important. I’d be confident of seeing them off with everyone fit but this will much tighter now.
  14. I wouldn’t be surprised if Howe goes for direct competition for his position in the summer if we haven’t already signed a legitimate option in Jan. We’ll be needing to bulk up the squad but as you say if his fitness concerns continue it’ll be more paramount to improve that position.
  15. Might have a spare in Gallowgate for this. Currently have covid but will test Wednesday (day 5) to see if I’m still positive. If I am and no immediate friends want it I’ll let people know on here. This is going to be a bit like last seasons grind out results
  16. We had the power to out muscle them yesterday we just lacked some quality in the final 3rd to finish them off. Roll on next April at St James. Add ASM and Isak (or new signings) and we’ll fully go for them at ours.
  17. This is an interesting point. Joelinton is probably going to have to add more attacking threat moving forwards to guarantee his place in the side. Particularly next season as you say.
  18. Id take Barnes over Maddison to be fair
  19. Same here, starting to develop some hatred again for them
  20. Reads the game so well, looks like he has the class of Woodgate but has more power to him.
