Aston Villa vs. Newcastle United: 19/04/25 @ 17:30 (Sky Sports)
ExiledGeordie replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
They’ve got a really tough set of fixtures after us including City away midweek right after this. Pressure on them, we’re probably set up perfectly to counter attack them with that high line. Can Isak’s form improving back to razor sharpness again and getting a couple. A draw is fine, a win would be outrageous, a defeat still leaves us 2 points clear with a better gd. Edit: just been reading their forum, they really don’t like us 😂 -

Yeah I’m not convinced by their defence -

I think j we can qualify for the CL with the home games to be honest. The Villa game is a tough one but the pressure is off us and all on them which plays into our hands. Amy result is on the table on sat but even if we lose we can get back on track v Ipswich. I’m actually not that worried about Brighton away, they were shocking against Leicester the other day. As someone has also mentioned the Arse might be in CL cotton wool mode by the time we play them. -

So is it roughly 3 more wins for CL? -
What a finish 😂
-
It was tongue in cheek 😂
-
Isak can’t hit a barn door tonight 😂 joke

Moron

Haha stupid cunts, just wait and see what happens. They can fucking own it when the shit hits the fan.

I think he’ll be back in some capacity quicker than some people think. Wouldn’t be that surprised to see him in the stands for Ipswich at home.
-
Watkins must be well miffed. Also I wonder what this does to Villa mentally for Saturday?
-
I agree, no point risking any player at such a critical point in the season.

I don’t think yesterday took loads out of us either and we were able to bring players off to rest which was a bonus. -

They’re not that confident on their forum to be fair, just been having a look. -

Yes we need to start strongly, we were too passive and sloppy with passing early on yesterday. I think we’ll win but it’ll be tight, maybe a 2-1. -
Absolute class act
-
We give the ball away far too ducking often
-
Bruno has been largely anonymous
-
This where I still think we lack match winners other than Isak and “maybe” Tonali. The RW summer signing is key, someone who can win games and finish teams off.

Yeah today and Wednesday are huge -
A little bit of the expectancy in getting a win I feel
-
Yeah the atmosphere sounds awful
-
Yeah I thought the crowd started well then just drifted off. It’s a huge game re CL ffs, need a proper effort second half.
-
Thought we were passive and sloppy up until the goal. Then a good period where we should’ve got a second which is a problem for us sometimes i think (thinking next season too re transfers window). Need to finish teams off. Man Utd resilient, need to up our game second half going to the Gallowgate.
