Win our next two and we’re 3rd and only 4 off the Arse
-
I don’t think we’ll sign Cunha but we really could do with signing something with a bit of the X factor to pull something out of their arse in tight games which is what a Cunha type player can do. We only really have Isak who can do that tho Barnes is a definite threat from outside the box with his shot (Tonali too I guess).

Huge carrot being dangled. I fancy Barnes today for a goal, has looked sharp recently. -

Howe being in hospital and the current table/CL qualification will mean they’ll be up for it. It’s not a straightforward match at all but not winning would be very disappointing. -

Point taken but we still have the midfield to bully them and the quality of Isak to make a difference. Atmosphere should be excellent. -

Think it’ll be a lot closer than some think, they’ve been pretty resilient recently but don’t score much. Isak to turn it on hopefully and be the difference. -
Agreed hope it’s nothing serious e.g heart related and that it’s just a nasty virus/respirate thing or something.
-
Nah, will make the players even more determined
-
Let’s see how Forest respond now
-
Jesus, just seen the score

That Palace game next wed is looking even harder
-
Agreed. I would be extremely surprised if we can’t afford to splash out on two new starters though - CB, RW, well 3 if you include a gk. My complete and utter guesswork is that it’ll be the above and then with squad sales we’ll try and improve the squad in general (whatever that equates to financially)
-
So 50m plus sales? That’s an absolute joke if that’s the case 😂 We sold in Jan and have barely spent in the last three windows.

Got a mate who’s in town with his kids for the match on Sunday. Where’s best to take kids before the match, Shearers maybe? They’ll probably spend a chunk of time in the ground watching warm up etc but he was wondering what are the decent options nears the ground? Any suggestions? 👍 -
The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

Next two games can really put us in the driving seat. I fully expect a booze fuelled radged up st James on Sunday in what is still a big game - Tonali and Isak to shine. The Palace game is really tricky but if we can win that too things will be looking really positive and it takes the pressure off a bit going to Villa. -

Crowd will be bang up for this, should be an excellent atmosphere. Tailor made for a Tonali, Isak show. -

Looking at Forests fixtures they “should” be ok but if Wood is out for a period and they start stuttering all fixtures become tricky. I’m pretty confident of beating Chelsea at home because the crowd will be mental and radge if a win gets us top four or 5. Still feels to me like this initial block of games going it other Villa game are key. They could really cement CL qualification. -

I’d forgotten about the FA cup👍Palace will be a really tough match though. -

We have a better goal difference, a game in hand and still have to play them. Add to that they still look pretty brittle to me and they’ve got the fa cup and CL to contend with still. I’d argue it’s better that Forest gets dragged back into it a bit. -

On balance I think we’ll beat Leicester and put Man U away as the crowd will be well up for that. As you say the Palace and Villa games will give us a much greater idea of how things might pan out. -

Yeah get in, get the win, get the team ready for two back to back home games including our game in hand v Palace which could be pivotal. -
I think they’ll move him on and bring someone in who can do something a little different, maybe more of an attacking midfielder type. Miley is ahead of him now so he’s going to get limited game time.

If there’s any doubt over Isak this is the type of game to rest him and have him ready for Man U/Palace. That said it doesn’t sound like it’s anything particularly serious so I imagine he’ll play some part. -
Ok I’ll rephrase that, we need a goal scoring winger who can help finish teams off when we’re on top 👍
