The dream scenario is we beat Brighton and then Chelsea drop points to Liverpool.

The Chelsea game is HUGE

Yeah not getting CL from this point considering where we sit would be very disappointing. This weekend is huge.

The hope I’m clinging onto is that Liverpool hate Chelsea

Our game v Brighton and Chelsea at home v Pool could have any number of outcomes meaning all sorts of points situations going into the home game v Chelsea. I still don’t think it’s a given that Forest get top 5 yet and that final game v Chelsea looks like it’ll be huge. It’s all still very tight but I fancy us to overpower Chelsea at home.

Hoping hes back for Brighton but definitely Chelsea at home. We need a full on radged up midfield and st James v Chelsea.

Yeah I was watching with my sisters father in law and we were both saying “what exactly does he do currently”. He doesn’t really look like scoring, he’s not that fantastic on the ball currently. Maybe he’s still rusty and a bit out of form after injuries 🤷‍♂️ I’ve always associated him as an impact sub who can run with the ball from midfield.

Brighton is tricky but winnable given their form then it comes down to Chelsea home match which you’d fancy rather than going away to them ffs. They weren’t great today. Next weekend is a big weekend with the fixtures.

CL is vital for holding onto and attracting certain players this summer never mind the world of PSR. Our squad is thin but the new format of the champions league makes it more manageable with recruitment. Also give your head a wobble and have a bit of positivity ffs 😂 We’re 3rd and have every chance of qualifying.

I don’t think we can home to next season without a viable backup striker unless someone like Mbuemo comes in and can play through the middle and probably guarantees a fair few goals. As good as Murphy has been we need a better option at RW moving forwards or at the very least someone Murphy can rotate with. I don’t think Murphy will sustain this seasons form.

So would I but pressure will mount if they don’t take the lead or go behind. The absolutely HAVE to win today with their upcoming fixtures.

Start well and take control of the midfield and we’ll be fine. Ipswich will be hoping to survive early pressure and that things (and the crowd) get nervy. I think we’ll be fine today but nothing is a given.

I don’t think I’ll renew for next season. I’ve probably got a greater chance from someone in my local saying there’s a spare ticket going than the ballot.

If we’d all been presented with the current situation and how we sit in the table with the points and games to go at the start of the season we’d have all very happily taken that especially considering we’re coming off a cup win too. 2 points ahead of Chelsea and Villa with a game in hand and better goal difference than Villa and still to play Chelsea at home and also going into on paper a very winnable game v Ipswich at home this weekend. Let’s just put Ipswich away and then move into next weekend where there’s no doubt going to be a shake up looking at the fixtures.

Agreed, Liverpool do hate Chelsea though so they’ll still turn up. Only downside is league may/likely will be won by then.

Yep. Chelsea play Liverpool at home that weekend and Villa at home to Fulham. Forest home to Brentford who’ve picked up a bit. So could be a significant weekend.
