Dreadful, mix of complete predictability and fatigue. Very poor.

It would be great to see him get a goal and get some confidence back. Really need to get something from him from now to the end of the season. Strikers just need to have their shooting boots on and we should win.

City were woeful today weren’t they, really bad
-
Exactly, we offered between 50-65 for Guehi depending on what you read. Parrish played hard ball…..
-
Semenyo and Guehi signings could bring City the title if Arsenal get the wobbles on the run in.

I think we’ll bring a defender in annd maybe bring Targett back on loan. Burn isn’t back yet, neither is Krafth, Tino out two months, Schar out 3 months, Botman has had a string of injuries over last 12 months while Hall and Tripper have both had hamstring issues. Any further injuries in defence could seriously jeopardise qualification for Europe and not bringing anyone in would be negligent.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

I think he’s priced himself out of a move back, he’s not worth 100m imo. The only way I could see him coming back though is if we managed to broker a slightly more realistic deal if the player wanted to come back and say if Tonali leaves and Anderson becomes his replacement. -
Most of the jan window stuff happens in the last week

Hes definitely looking better I agree and more confident. Could really do with a goal then I think we’ll really see him push on in an attacking sense. I’d like to see him driving at a defence more.
-
We also didn’t counter on him suffering probably the worst injury of his career to date (that I’m aware of). His injury completely knackered him and us in the process. I hope that given he’s back since roughly the end of November he should start to show improved fitness and sharpness from now. Bloody need him too as well.

I’ve always thought we needed a creative RW who can chip in with goals as we don’t play with a number 10. A Semenyo of Cherki type player. Obviously Howe likes players to track back too so signing the right player is difficult. My concerns with Elanga was that I always worried that he wasn’t the type of player who can open a defence up. The issue is he isn’t even doing the other stuff well.
-
Against Villa he was going inside out and and was rinsing Digne, first half anyway. There’s definitely a better player there than what we’re seeing currently but I have my doubts as to whether Howe will get what he thought he could get from him. Confidence is non-existent though.

Absolutely devoid of confidence but he just doesn’t look to be very good even if he does get some confidence back. I guess Forest’s style suited him well and there was less pressure to perform at Forest. Eddie has his work cut out to turn this one around. Been a disaster so far.

Mason Greenwood, do me a favour

Get Targett back to lessen the load on Hall as it’d be criminal if he gets injured being over played. Also sign a CB to add some depth. Both those things would help no end.

Newcastle United 0-2 Manchester City [LCSF 1st Leg] (13/01/25)

Fine margins, Wissa missed chance, Trafford save, probably one game too far for us, looked pretty leggy, City absurd bench. Take it on the chin and move on to Wolves -
The lack of a striker instinct is also a concern for me. Mind against Chelsea he showed that?
-
He’ll bulk up and learn I guess. Takes too many touches too, he’ll have to learn to stop doing that too which I’m sure he will.
-
I think the issue is he’s not an out and out striker and still lacks some physicality for this league and I’m not entirely sure Howe will ever play a formation to get the best out of him. I like him, he’s done well so far but equally I have some question marks about him. Doesn’t hold the ball up nearly well enough for me.

I thought he did alright tonight 🤷🏽‍♂️

Still our issue at times. Im not entirely convinced by Woltemade or Wissa but both still have time. -

One game too many but Wissa chance was huge really, game changing.
