I didnāt watch yesterday, anyone give a quick review of Gordon? Was he looking back to his normal self?

I donāt think he fits in with the āno dick headsā policy irrespective of work rate. Iād be astonished if we signed him

Paul Mitchell to leave club by mutual consent at end of June (Official)

I think theres too many whoāve come to the conclusion already that Mitchel is either no good, shifty or ready to force Howe out. I think the guy needs to be given time, much do what he says makes sense. -

There has to be some adaptation from Howe in accepting the various roles of club aiming to move towards elite status, I mean heās not at Bournemouth anymore. That being said the club would be foolish to make life overly difficult for him and/or move him in on if heās still been doing well. All they need to do is look at what heās done so far since coming in. I donāt expect everything to be nicey nicey behind the scenes all the time, Iām sure there are strong opinions and disagreements but hopefully working relationships can remain calm and focussed. -
Rai 1 had it listed as a 3-5-2 from memory with Tonali left side of a central 3 in midfield. I didnāt watch all the match but apart from that outrageous touch for the goal he looked tidy, hit a couple great crossfield passes. Hes just very good on the ball too.

You would think so

Ive got it on Rai 1

Yeah heās nailed on for Liverpool

The Targett stuff is hilarious. Anyone with a modicum of understanding of football finances knows essentially a Steady Eddy back up left isnāt going to be on 100k ffs when as you say he was on 30k at Villa.

Great news if true, weāve really missed his ability to carry the ball up field and his goals threat

Brighton are a well run club, I donāt think thereās any issue with our director of football acknowledging that. It doesnāt mean our whole approach will be the same as Connor says above and Mitchel is probably alluding to recruitment in the PSR world. Signing a player for 6m who goes on to be a cracking player in the league or get sold for profit at some point can only be a good thing surely. -

At first glance reading the athletic article I donāt see a lot wrong with what heās said. Ultimately the proof will be in the pudding but he has the contacts and experience to work with the current PSR framework and I do feel the clubs transfer and selling policy will have to evolve like most clubs. -
Bruno, Isak and Gordon havenāt looked fully up to speed yet. They should all be in better condition by Wolves which should improve our play immeasurably. Throw in a fitter Tonali and maybe Wilson off the bench and we should generally have much more about us. Need to start performing in these games.
-
Tonali will help loads with passing and composure and agree on Krafth and burn. I think you saw yesterday Howe changing his tactics to protect them and they talked about this on MOTD2. Without the new RW or CB coming in I think this first half of the season until Botman returns/jan signings (well youād hope) itās going to be about managing things and adapting to what you already have.
-
Thatās a fair point to be fair but surely heās the best option vs Almiron and Murphy.
-
I think heās the answer to the RW issue currently (well that and switching sides with Gordon) until we get someone else in. Hes a natural goal scorer and I hope he gets a proper run on the team. He showed with that assist for Gordonās goal that he can creat too. Sure heās not going to beat a man like Gordon but we donāt really have that many who can pull something out of their arse and win a game and heās one of the few players we have who can bang one in from outside the box. I think Tonali will add that shot threat from the edge of the box too but Barnes needs to be in the team for goals.

Mental isnāt it. I mean I get family situation, being happy in London and having a fat wage thrown at him but heās not going to play, or hardly at all. I suppose heāll get minutes in Europe.

Sloppy at times but so were so many players

Just not right at all, sloppy as fuck. Hopefully international break does him good. I think heās too professional to throw a sulk
